Whenever I play him I'm so used to champions with mediocre animations that I always end up hitting too early (especially given his low dmg). I'd say CD > flint because the farming is easier early on and you're sure to at least get off your AoE nuke to help the team out even if you otherwise suck. Yeah, that and because of his really low base dmg if you're against any half decent player on like say a pebbles or dw, your never evvarrr gonna get a lasthit

That MU is only a major problem if you didn't expect it and they picked up a Shield. The only real way you lose that lane as a ranged non-spell based hero is if they rotate ganks in early (levels 1-5) and if you let them sit there comfortably. One of the few instances where more (smart) harassing early on pays off more than working on your last hits. There are many ways to work around that basic premise to make it a lot easier than most players think; all of which depends on well their support gankers are.

IMO any pebb/dw knowing that he's going up against fb will pick up a shield... He WILL out last hit u, should easilly get to lvl 6 with boots/bottle b4 u and in the case of dw = ez kill... As for support gankers that all depends on team make ups/ ward placements/ map awareness of the players... etc etc. fb does not own dw mid unless the player is simply better than the other... cd should not be compared to flint....
but this game is such a waste of time! 1hour minomum per game 5 games in a row and there's your afternoon shot... How much time did I waste on this? - I expect to be flamed.

After getting my cracker jack decoder ring to figure out what the hell you just typed, I am just gonna say, he only out last hits you if you let him, to be honest you can be just as close in CS to him. The Ranged vs. Melee solos has been done at least since Shadow Fiend was buffed like 5 years ago in DotA, the concepts haven't changed.
The Shield will make it harder without a doubt, but its not insurmountable, and it does require much more disciplined laning than most players can muster; it requires a lot of switching up between reactive and proactive. Any hero with good animation always have a chance of at least breaking even in CS in 1v1 situation.
The problem isn't in the 1v1, the problem is the roaming support.

Chinese scene has been really unstable lately.
dgc just left nv.cn which is now obliterated, tyloo obliterated and reformed
DK now back on top tier with CCM and LGD thanks to dropping kss and picking up rotk_xb. now they really are an all star team.

Most esports teams/tournaments/games tend to be filled with egomaniacal nerds. Its not a nice conclusion and there are exceptions but for the most part its true. The difference with hon/dota and say Starcraft 2 is that 5 of these guys have to rely on one another and work together as a team. An example is competitive counterstrike where teams would frequently disband, reform and shuffle about, Hon has a quite a new scene and while it produces tons of drama it hasn't featured revolving door rosters to the extent we've seen previously in other games.
Yet.

Has DotA and its derivatives always had a volatile competitive scene? "foreign" scene is like that (with the old DTS being an exception), chinese scene comes and goes in periods, usually when the tourney season starts back up again they stay stable, right now its not really on so everybodys swapping around except for CCM, LGD, EHOME lineups that appeared after SMM 2010 over half a year ago. lesser extent DK who only swapped one player (xb who came from tyloo). i was actually waiting for dgc to leave nv.cn, i wasnt expecting him to stay on the team at all. the surprising thing was xb leaving after tyloo won DMT, and their subsequent losses leading to 2 more people leaving etc.
its not surprising that the top teams atm are CCM: who've been in top form since the beginning of 6.71b (aka half a year ago), LGD: one of the most stable lineups, DK: all star team that hasnt shown results on the big stage yet but have improved dramatically ever since ksss was replaced. stability doesnt necessarily mean success though, since WE has hardly improved since their beginnings. lack of talent maybe.

I'm sure most of you saw this. It's a "preview" of the upcoming 2.0.34 patch with some acronyms for people to guess the meanings to. Looks like for sure a Bloodhunter and Keeper remake are coming.
Just cause we feel there are a significant amount of changes coming this patch, time to tease all of you with that knowledge.
This is a list of all of the changes that are "important", shortened to just acronyms if you were to read from top to bottom of the patch notes. Keep in mind these are not all of the changes, just the larger ones.
Let the guessing begin...
Quote: AC AT CAI MAR FOCC OPBR QS SS -> LEN OBS AAR BHR KFR SN PS: Was going to put this up tomorrow but I figured now the European players get the first go at the guesses. We will reveal a few as the day goes on.
and then on Reddit somebody posted what looks like the actual patch notes...

To people more knowledgeable than me: What heroes does the melee range change affect and is it going to change the game at all or is it just a minor consistency adjustment like the creep damage change last patch.

How to play a better carry!
Since i have some downtime at work and im not really doing anything useful, i thought I might as well have a go at trying to help someone on how to improve your ricing skills.
Picking. If you play all pick, banning pick or banning draft .. Just pick autowin heros ( relative to current patch, ie silh, nomad, amonra ). Laning phase , you should get mid or long lane depending on what hero you are playing and how well the other lanes would work. In my experience picking puppet, going mid, ricing for a good 20 minutes till shrunken and then stomping face works well enough. Only problem that can occur is that your sidelanes fail hard and you are forced to gg out at 15. No amount of farm will ever change the mentality of random pubers, if they spam cc vote at 15 and you are down with like 10 kills , you might as well go for another game.
Early phase sidelane. If for any reason your support doesnt pull, do it yourself but make sure you stack it first ( if pulling even is an option ). If you stack the camp and pull it at 1:14, the neutrals will rapeface your creeps, hence giving you an advantage in exp for a whole wave (very big deal). Focus more on getting lasthits than denies. Try to get items depending on who you are facing , remember, theres nothing wrong with getting that anti magic damage item for 400 and later selling it if you are facing TB or hag or who ever has sick good roaming ability from mid. Power supply and TP .. get them , have them, use them. So many games where people just ignore those items while in reality, supply not only helps you to survive, but some times it can even get you a kill in return. Importance of tp: try to save as many tier 1 towers as possible. The amount of gold opposing team gets from them can really make a difference and set the carry you are facing far ahead that its not even funny. Most of the MSI games i've watched that they end up winning, they some ridiculous way have all or at least 1-2 of their tier 1 towres up at 30-35 .. like lolz
Mid stage. you should still be farming but only at places where you know its safe to .. also farm efficiently. How? you may ask, well , its simple .. lets say you are jungling and the clock is at x:35, now instead of heading for the fat camp right away , get the weak camp first, return near 45 , stack at 52 and get double camp. During the mid stage you should be focusing on getting ancients and stack killing them as well. If you are on lane, do not push the lane back. You can control the position of the lane if 1) you autoattack all opposing creeps, this will result in the lane getting pushed back to your opponents base ( bad ) 2) doing more damage to your own creeps than enemy, while still getting lasthits, this should keep the lane in place. Denying when none is near, is still good for that reason. And still, if you do not have tp boots, get scroll on you at all times to save teammates and maybe get a kill or two. Capitalize on kills, push towers , farm enemy forest or kongor are all viable options.
Lategame: Do not get caught out of position and loose your team the game.
*have to get some work done so i might edit this later or maybe not. This should help out a lot of players all the way to 1800s

man im really hoping all my wins after mm came back up records eventually.... i want my 20 MMR!!!

#Edit: just removed some stuff said some stuff, nothing special..^^

The keeper rework looks extremely interesting.
The BH one looks like it's moving him into almost another role as more of a cleanup/save teammates role in fights. I do love how blood crazy is finally getting decent utility when levelled too now that the damage is constant accross all levels and the 'negative' effect can be purged from whomever the target is.

S2 Games CEO - "While I think the competitive scene is good, we do want to take it to the next level. Something we've been working on for the last couple of months, which we were hoping to unveil here at E3 (...), is a competitive circuit that operates differently than how almost all eSport circuits run (...) and it's going to have a massive prize pool. We should be releasing details about that soon."

Already an alt avatar for Ra, wtf?
I don't know, this sounds kind of... fake. Like no more secret shop, observatory, new Kongor position, melee being ranged, and shit like that just sounds so far fetched.

Just wanted to update my hilarious badness, and say i had two interesting games recently. One was my first double digit kill game with a positive K/D. Second, i had a 23 minute game where I was 0/1/1 as defiler mid, and won. To be fair, i think I dropped my mid opponent to about 50 hp about 5 times over the laning stage, and the entire enemy team avoided me like the plague, but still...it was a first for me.

Great now I get to play against Blood Hunter and Keeper all weekend -.-
I've been playing pure slither for the past few days. Funnest hero ever. I don't know what it is but casting poison spray, ult, and getting toxicity on everyone allows hilarity to ensue. It's amazing to see people you didn't even know you hit die to your shit.
I even had to buy the alt avatar, couldn't help myself.
