Well, for starters, AA is fragile. He needs some kind of defense mechanism from items whether it be movespeed, blink, disable, whatever. AA needs/prefers (?) fast lvling for his spammable ults and shitty stats. So you have 2 options if you wanna lvl AA: farm creeps or gank heroes, and neither option seems good for him. Right now, his role is unclear to me. He's good at.... nothing? except finishing off heroes with a dodgeable ult.
As for slark, I don't know which part you're saying is a built-in BKB but he too has low enough HP to make up for his other imba features. I'm not sure if they fixed it yet but when slark first came out and I tried BKB on him, the 'C' skill turned it off and I was so pissed (random comment). Slark falls to burst dmg lineups I think. In the right circumstances, he can be imba but in a match against the lineup I described, I have a hard time picturing how slark's going to slip in and do his thing.

225 to 1000 aoe at 1500 projectile speed isn't that easily dodge-able.
You don't need to farm as much as you think since you are still essentially spell based, you have pretty good casting range with everything above 700 range. You don't need to stay in the fight per say thanks to your ultimate. Specifically, I have a problem with that ultimate, it's too easy, it's too strong for a free set up that locks you out of legitimate options early on a team fight. It's the strongest out of the follow up ultimates once both teams are committed to a team fight, that's the problem, the other team has no great options mid game, no heals, nothing defensive, so they have to fight or risk losing 1 or 2 heroes for no gain.
Thanks to the global casting range of it, he can afford to lane freely, aka not necessarily be there. Plus he has his own stun and snare to cover himself. Late game he can give a free 350 magical damage buff (-15% attack speed debuff is pointless).
He's no more fragile than Lion, except AA's more focused on team fights and aoe.

aa's ult is definitely annoying as shit and kind of imba, but all his other skills are pretty... not that great. slark definitely dies to burst damage teams, but then again so do a lot of other heroes. if you slap vanguard+treads on him he can dish out a shitload of damage with his passive. also his ult is awesome as it is both an active and passive skill, but the active part is easily counter by dust/a sentry. also not to mention if you notice that ur passive turns off randomly you know the other team has warded there... haha

The rest of the hero plays like Silencer, needs to drag the team fight out to make him good and needs space and safety in lane.
