Thanks Arc_Man!

(aww kaqn has moved away from jam...)

Haji, I'll happily view #R videos as well!

I find those videos a lot harder to follow (at least on youtube) than the sf3 matches..

GGXX:AC is too flashy and cloudy for me. I used to play the game (#R and Slash) and I can't tell wtf is going on in some of the videos.

Not to derail this thread, but one last GGXX post (I promise!)

Any videos from #R, Slash, and AC I will happily watch.

Yea, and its dark and it seems like the match takes much longer or that the characters are weaker.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)

True... I don't remember what color Inoue(?) picks when playing Oro.

And outside HungB, I've seen like ~3 prominent oro's? (Thanatos being the other one)

I only counted 8 combo hits in the last round of the last video and the special created 3.5x more hits. How many keypresses did he actually do?

button presses are only when oro makes the attacks.

However, Tengu combos require a lot of experience in choosing the right attacks in order to balance damage given and opponent's gauge increase (no i'm serious, they will actually adjust combos for lower damage in order to decrease meter gain). Also, depending on what objects oro pulls near him, the characters react differently to oro's hits. Dirty seems to have analyzed a lot of the variations, and this is one of the reasons he's pretty much the #1 oro.

Might I add, the button used to activate Tengu Stones (wp, mp fp or EX) also affects how fast the objects attack. Usually (IIRC) its FP, good oro players, when they get you in the corner after a launch or whatever chicken combo he did to bring you there can reset you with rocks and opt to hit you with JUST FK since we all know Oro's s.fk = nice stun damage.

Although the EX version seems easier for me and also more flexible when you combo into it from Mid screen

Of course someone who plays oro can correct me if I'm wrong. I don't play Oro much

Ex Tengu is the only version you can juggle with. If you land any launcher, you want to go into the Ex version. Mid screen it's not too damaging (maybe around 40-50%) but in the corner you can kill some characters w/ 1 combo (the ones you can stun like Chun/Makoto) or at least do massive damage.

I don't think it is true.. In GGAC the average combo is more damaging then before.
Also, I think the gameplay is a bit sped up compared to titles before
And all is illuminated.

yea but seriously that was pretty wow. He only did the same thing 4 times in a row and killed him.

This guy seems to parry and time attacks so well it makes me wonder if he would be extra good choosing a faster more aggressive character.

It was a 3v3 with a LOT of new names. I only recognized Ru (who was playing Ken instead of Ryu) and Ochibi.

That Makoto was beastly! He was particularly good at spacing. Furthermore, that Alex was even beastlier, getting an OCV! :O
