Indeed, one has a ´ and the other has a ^ on the second O, but otherwise they are spelled the same.

You're very welcome
Just completed the Kirby demo. Really excited for the full game!

It's nice to see they're still making N64 games 25 years after its release.

I wish they'd make even more

TODAY IS TRIANGLE STRATEGY!
|
Some reviews of Triangle Strategy are out. I think I will enjoy this but some of you probably won't.
Common threads of the reviews I've read: - Combat is awesome - Too much downtime in between battles (like FE: 3 Houses monastery I guess) - Story is decent - Too much extraneous cutscenes and unnecessary dialogue
It's almost like an SRPG/visual novel hybrid that's more on the visual novel side. I guess many Japanese SRPGs are like this but this one leans more on the latter, at least according to the reviews I've glanced at so far.

I agree with these, for the most part. Dialogue/filler/non-combat is like 70% of the game, whereas I tend to prefer games that have more gameplay. I found Triangle Strategy to be more of a visual novel with some gameplay, as opposed to a video game with some story. 30+ minutes between battles was a lot of time, for my taste.

I'm liking the game quite a bit, the writing is good and the story (so far) its quite interesting, i do agree it gets a little TOO LONG to start the next battle
but the gameplay is so good, top tier srpg imo.

That Kirby demo was a big sell for me. The controls for Kirby were really smooth. Some of the older games, while awesome, are incredibly tough due to his puff/fly mechanic needing to be mastered. After I switched to controller layout B is was having a great time mechanically.

Follow-up. Any one with kids 4&up, the Co-op mode is fantastic. It's a non splitscreen mode and always teleports the 2nd player to Kirby when the distance is too great. It's perfect if you are leading the way and your kid has to keep up. Alternatively, you can kick butt as the second character while your kid just has to make it through the course. This might be my 4-year olds first game playthrough. The breeze mode is a perfect setting for him too.

Honestly, Pokémon reinventing the wheel is something more people would hate than adore. I’m not a Pokémon fan or anything but I understand why it takes decades to try do something new. In a way I feel like Arceus was a nice segue into a more “open world” Pokémon game. I’m maybe 50/50 into buying the new game just cause it looks different than the previous.

Played a few more games:
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Phenomenal sidescroller. Easily worth it.
Chocobo GP - Decent kart racer. Microtransactions. Might not be worth it.
Aztech Forgotten Gods - Huge letdown for me (trailer looked cool, but the controls and camera are terrible). Not worth it.
Next up: New Pokemon Snap. Edit: Really fun game

Monster Hunter's free! At least for a few more days. Insect Glaive is great.

I only played in hand held mode and thought the actual sword fighting felt very clunky. I think I’ve been spoiled by the smooth combat system in God of War lol.
