Yeah this expansion was not worth the 40 bucks. AI is still the same, Diplomacy has not changed much of anything, some of the vanilla civs desperately need changing given the new gameplay etc. The worst: NO NEW MAPS. Unbelievable.

Also in this version Barbs are spawning like crazy. Guard your settlers.

nothing is worth any bucks until AI is have lots of change in them.

All they do since the past months are releasing new civ but they don't address the issue in the game

Will stay on Civ V for a while

I can't figure out the World Congress Climate Accords challenge. Solar Farms, and Wind Farms, even after the tech where Wind Farms provide power, don't help your CO2 levels. Neither does converting to Nuclear from Coal/Oil power plants. Or replanting forests. In fact it continues to climb, only thing I can think of is it is my population. And it isn't even the largest on my Continent.

How is Gathering Storm? I played a lot of Civ5 but I was immediately turned off of Civ6. I think I played it a total of 2 hours, just super bland and uninteresting. I'm thinking of getting the DLCs and expansions since that big sale is happening, but I don't want to get burned. Civ5 wasn't great when it first came out and the expansions really gave it new life and a lot of depth... is Civ6 the same?

It has gotten a lot better since the Vanilla launch but there is still some features that are needed. Better AI etc, Diplomacy etc.

I still don't understand the Climate Accords in this game and at this point it is better not to partake in them IMO. Also there seems to be a bug with Nuclear Meltdowns. After the workers clean up the contamination, and repairs are all done. You have to recommission the plant. If you don't meltdown's still occur for some reason.

But on a positive note after a meltdown your sole source of power is renewable's, if you have them.

civ 6 worth getting at its current state? theres a sale going on so...
my only civ 5 experience is g&k, so if thats any benchmark would you guys recommend that i get civ 6 or nay?

i quit playing civ6 a loooooooooong time ago, still play civ5 frequently

so my answer is no civ6 is not worth it. it is fun but not as fun as civ5 for me
no place i'd rather be than the satellite of love

I really like where they went with the new expand. There is still some issues but in general, I like it and I think it's worth it.

If you still like Civ 5, don't bother. If you want something new? Its decent, bullshit AI but all else its fine.

Honestly, screw AI, but the RNG map generator requires update too, I don't own the last 2 DLCs, but man, I select a huge map, 10 cities, 5 AIs. And I am next to 2 AIs... rarely I get the space I would love to have(1 in 10 maps I would say). I just don't get this
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

I’ve had terrible luck with the map generation and starting placement too. Some of the starting positions I’ve gotten are the worst resource and placement-wise I’ve ever seen in my decade and a half plus playing Civ games.

You might want to look into that.
