Not hitting the button? I don't know. It's literally a 1-click exercise from the library tab. =)

Typically they set it for midnight EDT on the release date itself, which means that people in earlier time zones get it the day before. EDIT: The game is available for preloading now. -Also like the new idea of managing city happiness via amendities and needing multiple luxuries to support more cities. -Also like the idea from a civ4 mod that districts affect/get affected by the improvements next to it. -It looked like they didnt pour money into only semi-useful gfx (*cough* CivBE *cough*), but to try to come up with meaningful design changes and investing in stuff like a good soundtrack (Chris Tin again, yeah) On the other side, Civ:BE also looked great for the first 100-150 turns in preview lets plays and failed horribly. For Civ6 I really wonder if: - the AI can keep up (Prince was a joke in the previews, not building military at all) - the game lasts long enough or snowballs hard. At least in Marbz Lets Plays he had a ~100 turn buildup time and then production/science lead was so big that you know he'd win by turn 200. For me, 200 turns is just soo low... wasn't civ 4 standard pace like 4050 or 500 turns ?

High level Civ 4 players routinely finished games within 300 turns. It was even a little bit faster in Civ 5. We'll have to wait and see what the higher level difficulties look like before judging Civ 6. The Prince AI in the preview builds is retarded and lets human players play stupid greedy. I highly doubt that will be the case on Emperor+.

I know scripted AI cant compete with humans without spending too much dev time on it, but it should have a base amount of competence before resource bonuses. And thats kind of missing, AI gets WORSE every civ release it seems. Im not interesting to play turn based in multiplayer, so i think ill wait buying this game, got burned with BE anyways, so they kinda deserve not getting my money for now.

Why do they make you authenticate through steam just to play sp. QQ Buy it and then download a crack for the game so you can play offline? Worst case you just have to download the entire thing to get the crack but I assume the game won't be all that big since requirement is 12GB hard drive space. So 1-2 hour download for it on a different place and then migrate the files over to your computer with no internet access via USB.

I like to kill off my closest neighbor, and America's UA is perfect for that (not to mention making short work of the barbarian hordes). The other civ that I really like is Arabia. The science/religion combo looks really strong. I'm also prone to wonder whoring, so China may be another good one for me. I'll likely start with Monarch difficulty, and then move up from there. I'm thinking of starting with China or Rome. They seem to have the most vanilla bonuses that don't cater to a very specific style of gameplay. Seems the best for a newbie run. This seems like the first game in a while with the potential for a good America civ. I'm planning on doing a later run once I feel like I have a better handle for the game. It's hard to gauge how good some of the bonuses are and when to properly use them.
