One of them was discounted far earlier than they intended in the Xmas Steam sale.

Dunno how big the discount on BE was, but i remember that i wasn't saving much, but wanted the box.

That was the one thing that killed Civ V for me. what's this?? happiness drove me nuts. i get why it is in, but it probably should have been implemented better. empires being so small was always so weird to me.

Really, every change they've made to the game looks like an improvement to Civ 5, and looks like they'll add more variations to the way you can play. Extremely psyched for this. I also like the way it looks. People complaining about graphics seem to be unfamiliar with Sid Meier's/Firaxis games, such as Pirates and XCOM:EU. They've never aimed for realism, but always go for a pleasing stylistic balance. Yeah, I like what they are doing with the civics system. One of my concerns is that they are adding a new resource in every civ. We started out with production, gold and food. Now we have culture, science and faith on top of it. It looks like appeal is the new tourism points, though it doesn't seem to be a resource. I like how culture and faith are getting more fleshed out as resources. Just don't think we need more.

My guess is that Civ VI might have a 10-15% discount in late December, but probably not more than that.

It's just recycled from the Shohshone in Civ 5. They also have the Kossack again. Seems quite uninspired in comparison to some of the other civs' abilities. Doesn't mean it's bad (Shoshone are quite OP in early game), just not as interesting as some others.

Waiting for 7+ players to finish their turns in line can't possibly be the way to go. Well, for Civ V you could play with simult turns so they probably won't remove that. As you mentioned, the more players you have, the more necessary that option is.
