Anyway, Arabia put in the last 1% for me to buy the game for sure. And as was shown on a previous live stream, there can be multiple "logical" continents on one actual continent. That makes continental bonuses more interesting

There are so many variables to account for in the early game that it is going be much, much harder to stick to a few (or even one) optimized build paths across all games. Yeah, I also like that the game will be a bit more unpredictable, which in term will make it less metagamey

I really dislike both ICS and punishing players for building new cities. I want it like the real world with a mix of big and small cities.

Amazon Prime members can get 20% off preordering some video games, civ 6 included. My total was $52 after tax.

It just has to be a physical copy of the game (which if you have prime you get the free release day arrival shipping). There's no discount for digital copies. I don't think there's a physical copy of the deluxe version and the 25th anniversary edition is sold out on amazon so I guess standard edition is the only option to use to get a discount through amazon prime.

Sure there will be civs more tailored to one or the other but without the tradition vs liberty I just hope the line between tall and wide won't be roughly defined and you'll be able to change your decision based on your reactions to early game, rather than pidgeon hole yourself right from the first cultural policy tree choice. that's clearly their main goal, avoiding playing like a robot and following each time the same path of course there is going to things better than others, but i am confident that it's gonna be way more diversified than civ5 in that regard

That was the one thing that killed Civ V for me.

Really, every change they've made to the game looks like an improvement to Civ 5, and looks like they'll add more variations to the way you can play. Extremely psyched for this. I also like the way it looks. People complaining about graphics seem to be unfamiliar with Sid Meier's/Firaxis games, such as Pirates and XCOM:EU. They've never aimed for realism, but always go for a pleasing stylistic balance.
