This becomes most apparent on subsequent playthroughs where Ch. 10 becomes relatively easy and is more or less used as a farming chapter to level up whoever you want.

The final chapters are also quite difficult if you didn't save the really powerful staves and had the right skills farmed. Given how draw and rescue staves make pretty much every chapter significantly easier, I would consider rank them harder by the virtue that many strategies require you to have saved them up due to how much bullshit is actually present.

Even if you didn't raise a general or Wyvern Lord, you actually always have the fallback of Heart Sealing Xander to Wyvern Lord and then sealing him back to Paladin 2 chapters later. While Camilla would have to be raised to D lances to use the Beast Killer, Xander start's with D lances, and has much more physical bulk--so it's basically impossible for him to die. Just checked because I was curious, Wyvern Lord Xander with Corrin pairup can comfortably reach the point where even Lunatic Nine-Tails with Life and Death can't damage him. So no matter what, that chapter always has the fall-back plan of "class Xander to Wyvern Lord, let him solo everything".

+ Show Spoiler + I only had 6 units, 1 healer, Azura, and my 4 damage dealers. All supported of course. The nature of reinforcements in this chapter made it near impossible to keep Elise/Azura in safe spots, they always ended up dying. Corrin was maxed but only had 20 defense, he died a lot too. I reached the boss with the other heroes in one run, but they couldn't kill him. Need Corrin's special sword for that xD. In hindsight I definitely should've kept Niles/Selena instead of just turning them into support fodder. Thankfully I played on casual so I could abuse battle saves (A)

Not the worst chapter in Conquest, but definitely one of its weaker ones. Though from what I recall, very few games in the series actually have a decent endgame map. FE sucks at boss fights.

I think there are other chapters that have a higher potential to be more difficult, but I think for the average bear chapter 10 would be the most difficult. Well, maybe chapter 19. I had Effie smash everything in that chapter so it was, as Yangers said, "disappointingly easy". FE boss fights would probably be objectively better if they all took place in space.

Metroid would sell in Japan like hotcakes if it had more of that anime, waifu-bait tropes like Fire Emblem did since Awakening; nothing wrong with that per se but kinda wish Nintendo would look into developing games based on popular demand by Western audiences.
