On his recruit map I just rushed off the boat and all the Brigands on the left charged me. Most of my guys had enough defense that forming a wall of units from the boat to right wall was enough for me to not lose anyone and then pick them off. Can mitigate some of the damage by not attacking unless you will kill the unit so you don't take extra counter attack.

Leon is your only Celica-side archer, yes. His survival is pretty much up to RNG and it's dumb.

well i heard celica's side is pretty easy mode anyway so maybe no archer will aid that.

Mae is absolutely disgusting, I don't think ive ever seen a more trivial character then boey gameplay wise

Leon helps a ton on a lot of the most cancerous Celica-side maps like the bow fort.

Mae is super good all the way up to about mid-Ch3. After that point, having 4 Mov just doesn't mix well with the deluge of desert and swamp maps.

I haven't really looked into it much, but is fatigue much of an issue? When I highlight it on the ui, it only states you have a max hp debuff (which I did not even notice). I haven't really worried about it since I rarely get the message that a unit is fatigued.

It's nearly not an issue. It's only a thing in really long dungeons. Just feed the fatigued some food and u good 2 go.

There are only 3 dungeons in the game actually long enough for fatigue to matter outside of extraordinary grinding or lowmanning. One of them is the postgame dungeon, and the other two have infinite-use fatigue-restoring fountains about halfway through.

It's kind of a missed opportunity, tbh.

BTW Cricketer, when you get to chapter 22 in Thracia, remember to buy door keys. LOTS of door keys.

Door keys are to Thracia endgame like the Rescue staff is to Conquest Lunatic endgame. Map's technically doable without it, and the game doesn't really tell you that you need them, but the map is so much more of a bitch to do without them.

Wait you can reclass someone from a promoted class back to villager to the go a different route? I must not have seen where that was.

You can also do that with any merc, as when a dread fighter reaches level 10 they can promote to villager (so infinite merc loop, saber the sage, and everything in between)

It's useful to have some extras yeah. The main reason being split deployment maps, since you can't change deployment locations--so sometimes all your thieves might be deployed on one side and the other side needs door keys to progress.

Boey's base speed and speed growth are complete garbage, so using him is going to be a struggle for a while. You'll probably want to forge a Killer Bow as soon as the option becomes available (since Hunter Volley is the best solution to not doubling things).

good to know, thanks. ill probably do that to kliff and reclass him as archer lategame, i dont see much point to having him be a DF later and tobie doesn't really cut it as an archer, hes gotten garbage growths for me all game

and yea I know Boey is complete shit, its going to be amusing...i won't be too sad if he dies from witch shenanigans or something

Those Echoes DLC class upgrades are starting to look real tempting...

Definitely reclassing my mage Kliff into archer. Tobin with shit stats and a killer bow is already so strong, and mage rings already make delthea more than strong enough.

Finally beat postgame dungeon, 6 people died though. On the ninth floor I made the mistake of fighting an optional boss guarding two lion heads...that turned out to be 10 dragons...not my best idea.

Just started a replay of Radiant Dawn. I am going to use Leonardo...

Currently most of the way through Part1, and I think no one in my team has gained defense at all. Jill, Micaiah, Leo, Nolan, Ilyana all are within 1-2 defense of their base defense from recruit. Upsetting that I am about to promote Leo and he still has 5 defense lol. Looks like I will be giving him a bunch of Dracoshields. I have 3 units at capped skill though (Micaiah, Nolan, Leo) before promotion. Ilyana has been really good for me this time so far so that is nice.
