There seems to be a lot of fire Pokemon here but I'll prolly find like 1 dratini a month. San Francisco is kinda far for me, I don't have a car so just using public transit, hopefully there's a good place downtown San Jose

My pokedex says I found 350+ drowzees and 20+ Hypnos, I mass evo them for exp.. they're super annoying in gyms, I usually can't beat them with a lower cp Pokemon cuz their moves make my phone lag so I can never dodge, I never want to see a drowzee/hypno again. Btw all these fire Pokemon defending gyms in San Jose made it super easy to prestige or kill them. I have tons of water Pokemon

I find them annoying to train against too, but I have had pretty reasonable success with Venomoth or Parasect if you can get their double bug moves.
My Drowzee/Hypno counts are about the same 309/342 Drowzees and 26/30 Hypnos (though with the 500 candy I have now the Hypno count should go up to 36/40 soon).

I finally caught a Dratini!
Edit was just thinking about this when I saw a Vileplume near my old high school: Which Pokemon have I never seen using a tracker app. Starmie, Gyarados, Charizard, Omastar, Machamp, Victreebel, Chansey, Dragonair and Raichu are the only ones I have never seen. Until about a minute ago, Vileplume would have been on the list too lol.

appears to be a third migration. krabby to drowsee nest. 140/142 here i come!
|
Never mind. Diglett nest down. Voltorb nest up. Pinser to Charmander Ponyta to Vulpix Growlithe to Pinser (this nest sucks anyways. 2 of the 3 possible spawns are down a cliff so you couldn't farm the mon reliably.) Charmander nest is gone or switched to a filtered pokemon. Omanyte has moved into a park as a solo spawning pokemon.
|
Yea I can confirmed there is a nest migration. FML lol I knew I should have went to hunt in the weekend.
Edit: New spawn points added. Old spawn points that remained had their timing changed.
|
19 charmander right now at a local park hahahahha big park though
|
I think Niantic may have used more recent cell data to determine spawning. Seeing a unmistakable increase in the amount of spawning pokemon
|
Seems that way. Even just with the scanner I've seen more semi-rare evos (nidoqueen, seadra, starmie, butterfree, victreebell etc) in the last hour than I have in the two weeks before that. Guess that's nice.
On the downside the nidoqueen ate 12 berry-ball great throws in a row and then ran away, and it was only like 500cp. I really feel like they're doing things backwards. Big stuff should be hard to find, but far less infuriating to catch once you do find it.
EDIT: arcanine, beedrill, vileplume, clefable holy heck there's stuff everywhere. What is this.

Hourly spawns at work has increased from 8 to 10, woop.
|
probably the result of fewer players
|
Drowsee nest still a drowsee nest here Haven't noticed any difference in spawns so far. I did see a Snorlax yesterday in the "sweet spot" on the tracker but only had 4 min before despawn and wouldn't have made it in time. The spawns there look like the usual so far today. + Show Spoiler +
Is there a max number of razz berries you can use now?

It seems like maybe a more even spawn distribution now? I'm not noticing as big of a pokemon concentration in some of the areas around me, but potentially some extra spawns in places that were a bit dead before.
|
I've only played the game for about 2½-3 hours since the spawn changes, but I've noticed that there are more diversity among the pokemons that spawns. Evolved pokemons seems a bit more common as well.
