Often when people discuss BO1 vs BO3 the discussion goes on that the better team has more probability to advance. This is, to me, not the issue! The better team always advances , EOD. However, to me, the big fucking problem with BO1 formats like this is that you get to see your favorite or top team play 2, only 2, maps. And then its over, done. And this also goes for the lesser teams who have probably prepared and worked their ass off to get to the turnament and perform well, and then a team like luminosity also plays just two maps. It must be so frustrating. And for a viewer it is almost like a joke. | ||

The problem is that in a bo1 the better team isn't necessarily the better team overall. There isn't really a format where we can 100% say that the overall better team won, but the more maps are played the better obviously. bo3 is just the best format, it's possible timewise and way superior to bo1 to have the better team advancing. If we now get three bo3 matches where the eu teams wins 2:0 you will see what i meant with "it's bad for the viewers" ![]() | ||
