I don't check the FPS counter all the time, but playing on an overclocked 980ti on med/high at 1080p. I'm pretty convinced that i hit above 105 fps every now and then.
At least i would've thought, if not, then i'm curious what other people play it on.

You have a 980ti, and you're only playing on med/high? I knew the graphics were optimized for the higher end cards, didn't know it was that bad.

Like I said, if this was a physical object, like a camera, gpu, etc, anything above a .1% failure rate is considered a comical failure of a product release.
Somehow, when known problems for a video game comes out from Bethesda, it's okay? wut.
Its really a bummer that is happening to some people and it would be great if it was fixed. I’m waiting until after Charismas to get FO4, but my friends are enjoying it and haven’t hit any problems. They seem to be having a good time.

Because that is what i said, right? Has nothing to do with the fact that i have a cooling problem in my tower, and downclocked my otherwise overclocked CPU until my new Enthoo arrives. Because that's not convenient, right?
You're a joke.

I didn't even realize that there was an issue like that, never ran into it. Don't know if G-Sync (144hz) is the reason, but absolutely zero.

So I did alot of those quests too, do they ever end or do they both give you an infinite amount of quests untill you finished the game?
They're radiant quests, just like Skyrim. They never end.

Not sure what your cpu situation is, but there's no reason why you shouldn't be running everything on high @ 1080p with 980ti.

The game on default caps your frames at 60, did you unlock the frame cap?
Only on TL will issues which most of the player base isn't even experiencing result in the game being chastised like the spawn of satan. The whole situation reminds me of this this image (NSFWish).
Anyway I am pleasantly surprised with FO4 so far, I went in with low expectations (mostly because Bethesda games have been getting worse since Morrowind in my opinion) but it's pretty good. I am almost overwhelmed with content. It feels like there is some sort of quest or whatever at every turn and I almost wish I could just run without encountering something to explore for awhile. Maybe if you could get rid of all the minor markers it would feel less cramped and improve the sense of discovery.

I'm not bashing the game but the bug I mentioned exists and it happens to many players that unlocked the frame rate and have decent rigs to run the game above 100+ fps. Try accessing a terminal and logging out when your FPS is above 105, I guarantee you will get bugged. Obviously judging from how prevalent terminals are in the FO universe, this is a noticeable problem.
I was never critical commenting on the game being terrible, in fact I enjoy the game more than ever but you beginning with "most of the player base isn't even experiencing" when it is a widely known issue really irks me. The issue on frames has a simple work-around so that shouldn't be a problem. UI and some minor issues like all Bethesda games just scream third-party mods but after all these games they should've learned a bit from all the fantastic mods but didn't bother applying it to FO4 which is a bummer. Overall the game is fine, I'm enjoying it. Really hopeful for settlement mods at this moment, I'm spending too much time on them rather than quests and exploring.
Also forgot to mention how Bethesda outright lied to everyone by claiming "Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC" doesn't help in their cause. Maybe that is why many people are so critical of FO4.
edit: Even though that problem persisted in Skyrim too but Skyrim was much more demanding so I didn't notice the problem myself.
Holy hell the Corvega Assembly Plant is a pain the ass to clear, even with my power armor I barely managed to clear it. But I found the Repair Bobblehead so that's good.

Grenades do wonders on higher difficulties and I actually keep forgetting I can utilize my power armor. Also on higher difficulties the enemies spamming nades and insanely accurate molotovs is so frustrating but satisfying at the same time.
Oh man clearing out Quincy was a nice challenge for a change. I got to flex my Gauss Rifle and my Plasma Sniper. For everything else, there's Rightous Authority
I dunno if you guys like "breaking" the game with the console, but you could turn off clipping and just march your way up to one of those highways. Not to cheat a section of course, but just to get a bird's eye view, a higher viewpoint of the land. It looks so cool from up there. You can also "unstuck" yourself with no clipping I know I've gotten myself into many holes with no way out between 2-3 cars and rubble etc. It does not void steam achievements.
btw: have you guys found any nice legendary gear? I've seen on reddit people with explosive miniguns, gauss rifles that fire an additional projectile, double damage on 1st hit lazer muskets (those things Prestons and minutemen use), sadly I've been getting 90% legendary armor crap. Not a single good weapon. Found a nexploding pipe revolver on lv 35 lel. Obsolete.
If you want to be imbalanced grab the Old faithful laser gun for ~2k at the diamond city market, slap every sniper and max dmg addon you can find on it and with sneak perks you get a ~600 dmg weapon, it oneshots everything :D
So I think the alien crash thing happened while i was leaving pickman gallery, but there were buildings everywhere so i didn't see where it landed. Does anyone know where it could be?
Is it just me or do automatic weapons do absolutely no damage at all in this game? On survival difficulty specifically. I can unload a full 50bullets with a near-perfect modded SMG and do less damage than 1 shot of literally any rifle or shotgun, even like pipe pistols do more way more dps. Both in vats and out.
I'm assuming the way damage reductions from survival mode interacts with the armor system just makes automatic weapons completely pointless. It's kinda lame.
Edit: I didn't have any perks for any weapon types at the time.

I dunno, I was never a spray & pray type of guy in these games. On survival I find range generally safer, save for those crazy nades, molotovs and ofc mini nukes. When things get hairy up close I just turn on VATS and pull out my heaviest hitters I guess. Only time I really turn on VATS for that matter. I think it's crazy you're not leveling up any weapon types. On survival we get 50% damage of the damage we'd do on other difficulties, so you gotta compensate somehow. I even pop a psycho for some legendaries. While as I'm sure you're aware, enemies do 200% damage.
Besides, whats the points of automatic weapons when you can just click your mouse super fast? Only auto's I'd ever use would be Minigun and Gatling Lazer.

I really liked the SMG in FO3 and FNV. But it was mostly just an observation I was making.
I did end up going rifle spec later later on. I basically 2-3 shot even legendaries with my combat rifle now. Even bosses like 10+ levels above me just melt instantly. If I'm in trouble I just pop jet and I can mow down a boss/legendary and 2-3 other guys in it's duration.
So what happens if you tell the Brotherhood (Paladin Danse) where your from i.e. the Settlement do they automatically become enemies since there are no alliances between any of the factions?
