lets hope that the Witcher 3 has upped the bar and forced Bethesda's hand.
Since games like this take like 3-5 year to make, likely zero effect. Most of this game is likely in the can unless its coming out in 2017. Which I doubt. I am betting fall 2015 or Q1 2016.

Then again, it's probably the dog's fault.
I would have shot the dog. Trailer isnt great but i am optimistic about the game. Its just Boston doesnt excite me. Being European that never visited US my knowledge of Boston is very limited. Big Irish minority, Boston tea party, Red Socks and thats it. I am hyped because its fallout 4, not because of Boston.

Man, you are going to be disappointed when they implement day1 paid mods.
I can't say that Bethesda making it fills me with any shred of hope, exactly. But I hope it's at least something akin to going from Oblivion to Skyrim, where Oblivion is offensively bad, but Skyrim is just very dull and uninspired.
The major problem I had with Fallout 3 was the rather uninspired story, but then again I found that Metro 2033 was far more compelling as a dystopian post-apacalyptic setting anyway.

How dare you call oblivion bad. They brought us great AI like this:
Can't wait. I always thought fallout 3 was a lot more fun in gameplay/combat than skyrim (even though I loved that game too). Graphics don't look the best though, but I presume most of this game that's already made so far has been worked on over the past couple of years, and so aren't entirely up-to-date with current graphics. Even still, I have high hopes for this game.

The game is going to be fun and while the graphics don't look amazing I'm sure there will be mods for that.
It's hard to get my hopes up for anything by a company that hasn't made something good in over 10 years now. Would love to be proven wrong and see them make a good game, but I ain't holding my breath exactly.

I would also have shot it, unless it gives huge bonuses to the main character.
Seemed like a nice trailer, felt like an artistic style choice more than realism.
As for the game itself. I don't really care about it. I am looking forward to it around 1.5 years after release though when I will play it for the first time.
