I don't even have a brightness adjuster because of windowed mode Some of those dark corners on certain maps ends up ridiculously dark.

Comeback to GO, so far so good. Playing in a 3 Stack now(5 stack was planned, but 2 got vacced - from my experience so far: everyone who seriously claimed that all the pros hack, is/was hacking) which greatly improved my expierence. However, there are either a lot of GE smurfs or hackers around at the moment. Had some really weird games, where I got instagibbed pretty much before the enemy was even on my screen, while I was standing offangle/shoulderpeeking. Had a game where our whole 3stack had 0 kills until round 13, whole enemy team was just insane, while also having one guy on our team who was fragging like crazy. Maybe it where just the servers/my game/the break, but those games where really... unusual.
Not a real QQ, even though I had quite some of these lost games, we also got a ton of wins, but most of them where weird too(like the enemy team pretty much always getting less than 6 rounds, often 16:3/16:1 slaughters) I guess there are also a lot of boosted accounts around at the moment.

Also coming back, used to be pro 10 years ago played in WCG, CPL, etc. I like how the game evolved but the MM servers are a disaster, playing with 30-40 ping means both you get literally raped by LPB 15 ping and that 80-100 indigents deny damage because connection problems.
The LPBs kill you before you have a chance to reply, many time I see a hit animation even a blood splatter behind the guy but the result is 0 damage given due to de ping disparity.
And playing against lagged individuals it´s torture for a whole other reason, you just spray them and not even a single bullet touches them.
This of course is only the case in MM games. I play in the South American server and is disgusting that the servers are so biased.

The difference between 40 and 15 ping is not big enough to be noticed. It's not a ping problem, it's a tick problem. The regular mm servers run on 64 ticks, which is why things like blood splatter without registering a hit is possible. Most community servers run on 128 ticks tho

Those games where in the first 5 rounds people ask to kick them.. some of the reasons I heard so far are, ... I need to go to the gym. ... I have to do my laundry. ... My ping is bad. ... I am terrible at the game. ... Just fuck you.

I know the 64 server tic problem, is disgusting. Community servers are better in ping and tick, but the problem is people quit the fuck out of games when there are no consecuences.
In terms of the ping, from a biological standpoint, yes, you technically cant be aware of a 25 ms difference. But your reflex can certainly be much lower than that ( I used to have 3-5ms reflexes back in the day ). But when your reaction time is faster than your opponents reaction time but his ping overcompensates it, he wins and you loose the exchange ( asuming both are headshoting ).
When I used to compete we liked to practice against opponents that were in lan centers just so they could have a ping advantage, it was like training against SK ( The difference was greater 5ms vs 50). But now that I just want to enjoy the game (and i´m an old rusty fuck ) is hard to be 30 - 40 ping behind most of the servers players.

Well the cheaters are back at Supreme boys and girls. Time to not play on that account again until the next ban wave.

I can confirm that. Apparently triggerbots are the new thing, since radar/wallhacks are harder to create now. Its only a real problem on t-half though, If you play as CT, dont push much/hold unusual angels, they usually use their triggerbot to get 2 quick picks and play legit from there. When playing as T, use smokes a lot, most of the triggerbots dont work then, or at least it ensures that they will get an overwatchban soon. Use also the edge of the smokes where you can be seen, but your name wont show up when aiming at you. The most of the time the triggerbot doesnt work then and you can suprise the cheater.
On the lighter side, there are also a lot of boosted accounts around now. People aiming at the ground/horrible crosshairplacement in general and no real mapawareness. Its very common at the moment to have at least one guy on one team that performs in such a bad way that its almost sure he got boosted. We had one game where the enemy team was stacked with 3 lowskilled players, it was basicly 2v5 for the remaining players. Was a fun game though since I could convince my team to play this "special". The 2 skilled players would go somewhere on the map where they wont get in our way while we rushed in and slayed the noobs. After that, we picked 2 of our guys who would knifefight 1on1 against the remaining 2. Team that won the knifefight got the round.
Besides that special game, I had not a lot of games that where really enjoyable though.

Idk why valve is trying their best to make it as hard as possible to play this game with RL friends. Cannot play with people more then 4 ranks "away" from you and now the fucking level 3 rule...

I've never gotten more than 30 min cooldowns, but I can honestly see how it's really easy to get on a bad roll and get a 7 day. And once you're there all cooldowns are going ti be 7 days for a good long while.

Honestly, ever since I got back to supreme my matches have been far more enjoyable. Don't think I've encountered a single cheater in my last 15 games.

>100 competitive wins - 0 cooldowns, am I doing something wrong?

Same here, 98 wins and never a cooldown. Got kicked from a game once, that's it. But I'm also extremely polite in-game :p

They just copied the same style where u have to level up a bit to play competitive which is a step in the right direction even though it doesnt take that long to get to level 3
