I matched with a random duo stack who turned out to be 14 and 15 yo kids. 14yo couldn't handle the loss and hs me at the spawn and banned for 7 days from competitive. There was a talk poped up between the teams and I stated their ages(learned in game) and also stated that i am about twice older than them. Then 15 yo relatively calm kid: "29 and still playing games? Go get a life!" I couldn't remember hearing such hurting words from another human being. I was so sad for a couple of minutes. Learned my life lesson that day hard way. ![]()

Learned my life lesson that day hard way. ![]() I read this post and had to respond. Cheer up bro. I'm 25 years old and I play video games. I work 40+ hours a week and go to school at night but I still find time to play a couple competitive matches at night. Although I've never had someone say that to me before, it bugs me sometimes that teenagers are at my skill level or better (I'm ranked MG2). But I realized that I'm just a casual player compared to them and I think being a MG2 for a casual isn't that bad right? I can also imagine myself playing video games till I'm 40-50, maybe older. One of the reasons I don't use a mic when playing (the other reason is that I use a laptop and I don't have enough usb ports) is that I would rather not interact with bad mannered players in game. EDIT: Added the second paragraph. You could tell this one hit home for me. haha

Get lectured by a 15 yo kid made my day. Probably I got a life when he pissed his pants but still that was an amusing game. Exactly. It's funny how people in their mid to late 20's are already considered older in the gaming community. On a somewhat related note, I would like to add more to this QQ thread. I usually hear this after winning pistol round in either Dust 2 or Mirage, when we're calling out our spots. One kid would usually say these four words: "I'll jump scout mid"

Not sure if it is fixed now.

Drop a 50 bomb? No problem! Have a round 3 abandon, 2 braindead teammates and a duo stack of raging russians, We'll even throw in four, YES THATS FOUR, Dodgy as fuck, fresh, private, not-setup, 300 hours/200+ in 2 weeks accounts on the ENEMY team! How can you drop a fucking fifty bomb and not win you ask? Thats easy! Your team are fucking shite and the enemy are toggling, wallhacking cunts who are just fucking with you. Im playing the best CS of my life in recent days and getting nothing but SHIT. I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW. This game is fucking trash it is completely fucking pointless playing, you do well and all you get is FUCKING SHIT ANYWAY.

FUCKING NO! Every game i had at least one teammate who actually had no idea which game he was playing. Aim, movement, gamesense you name it. And i'm talking SILVER level aim, movement, gamesense here. Yes, i'm serious. That one guy actually sprayed all his bullets into the sky everytime he used a rifle. Not even the slightest pulldown. I don't even know why he got 5 kills in that game. And now, try to imagine how bad my opponents were if i won four games very easily with at least one total retard on my team. This game ...

And I have no problem with anyone who's simply playing poorly, or even the mindless flaming russians, since they're hard to take seriously. But in my last game I was leading my team in score, while the two worst performing players on my team were criticizing my plays every other round, lecturing me on why I was terrible. I can assure you it was a frustrating experience. + Show Spoiler + ![]() A few days ago there was a boy in my team who screamed with full force whenever someone missed a shot or simply didnt do what he wanted. The game wasn't fun this way so I said to mute him if he continues. It worked for a few rounds but he started screaming again at some point. Well I muted him and had a 10x better game.

That's usually around the time they start teamattacking you for not listening. And they are always with a friend so you can't votekick them either.

Better gaming experience. There have been rounds, where i topfrag with whole teammembers muted. Got kicked when we where 3:14 behind and my teammembers camped in Dixis on cbbl. I think you should mute flamers really early or else they just attack your mindset.
