So now you have to reach lvl 3 as well as only be allowed to win twice pr day until 10 wins? That's going to be a pain for new players.. On the flipside it might decrease smurfing a tiny bit, which is good. Btw, he didn't mention "spawn", and you can find people who camp the round away quite a way up the ranks in competitive.

Flamers, squeakers, ppl who do incredible stupid calls or the ones that can't be quiet when they dead while you still playing get muted ASAP. Same happens to ppl who can't speak and write in english. Otherwise they will fuck up your mind and gameplay.

What I found to be even more stupid is that players who played 100+ comp matches where locked out again because they didn't had level 3. So I had to play casual until I got the needed level which felt like punishment. Yea, but whatever makes it harder for smurfs/cheaters/multiaccount whores etc is welcome.

I don't understand the logic behind this. The Elo based ranking system is pretty accurate and well proven across so many competitive games (wc3, sc2, LoL, DotA, CS:GO). There is literally no reason for anyone to boost an account. The boosted account will just drop down again to the correct skill level, while it won't be fun for the boosted player nor his teammates and maybe even his opponents will get bored.

You're absolutely correct. But many people believe they're only stuck in their rank because they're in some kind of elo hell where they can't rank up due to bad teammates. This is even stronger in dota where youre impact on winning a game can be more indirect than direct (as in: you might win based on how many good wards you put out as opposed to kill/death ratio). What people dont understand is: while you will have the occasional glue sniffers on your team, you're just as likely to face an enemy team with them as well. Over time this generally works itself out, while the only real variable is your own skill level
