First thoughts : Wow...nothing like I anticipated, it is quite confusing for me but I am getting used to it pretty fast I feel starting out trying to learn with the Beta....
I just learned clicking the button in bottom right shows where the expos are which helped A LOT, I played my first UNRANKED match to see how someone else would play and the guy straight rolled me lol....huge bomber attack was awesome to see ! Really reminded me of the banshees from Tiberian Sun....felt like a kid again, will be streaming my learning of the game more tomorrow.
Kinda just messed around in Skirmish / Campaign tonight but it is really exciting to figure out.

I wish there was a setting to always always have it on. Having to click it at the start of each match is annoying.

Yea I don't see how anyone can play with it off. Another thing is the bush vision, that green red colour is ugly and you can barely distinguish what units they are

It is pretty clear what kind of unit that is when you look at the shape of it.

You will have issues, seems like everyone will but 90% of the players don't really notice being at 20-30fps somehow. Superhumans

20 to 30 fps is enough for normal eye to not notice it.

Honestly can't tell if that's sarcasm, an evenly paced 20-30fps is somewhat usable for an interactive application but it's quite painful and slow. Badly paced 30fps is just awful.
Not noticing difference? I can easily see a 10% increase in FPS even in the triple digits, and so can anybody who's not visually impaired if they have the technology to display it.
I mean really:

If this is how the game runs on the best processors on the planet i can't imagine what it'd be like for the majority of players. That game wasn't even 800/800 supply, it was something like 400-500 supply

I only played single player so far and I don't notice it, my FPS counter I dont think has ever gone that low?

Also yes, I am wondering if most of the slowness is due to the low fps rather than game speed. Even pressing menu has input lag.

Then you won't charge into it anyway Kill it with arty.

From playing Planetside 2 for 2 years, one year with 20 FPS, one with a new PC and 60 FPS, it is a huge difference when tracking moving objects. Not sure about RTS, but in FPS it's absolutely noticeable. 20-30 FPS are playable, depending on the game sometimes without any problems, but 60 FPS will always be better when lots of things are moving fast on the screen.
GG didn't feel like 20 FPS when I played it, but I'm off work in an hour or so and then I can check whether the feeling is similar to the actual values.

Will try it as well today after work.

You absolutely cannot see the different between 100 and 110 fps you lying liar.

He might be able to, but for most people it is just a placebo effect. Especially if they claim to notice the difference on a 60 Hz monitor.

I don't think it's possible to physically detect anything higher than 125 fps. I'm used to 60 fps, so that feels smooth enough for me, but when I see people streaming at 125 fps it's almost as if I'm watching something liquid, can't describe it in any other way. Anyway, 100->110 is very, very subtle, but I guess when you have perfect sight (analogous to hearing; the difference between 2 semitones) I guess it's doable.

Just heard about this game two days ago. Saw the name many times but I thought it was some crappy indie 2d pixel art thing. Oh my how I was wrong. Other than SC2 this is one the best RTS games to come out in a long time. And it does one thing better than SC2; the campaign is great with good story. It also has some of the most amazing/realistic CG faces/characters ever. Every time the camera was on a face of a character I was just blown away by the animation.
Quality game, would recommend.´Multiplayer still needs balancing, but a 4/5 since it's such a nice old school type game.

That posted made grey goo seem quite interesting, reminds me a bit of Total Annihilation even.

Yes, you will notice 20 fps to 60 fps but probably not 30 to 60. Maybe it is different in FPS games. I stopped playing those many years ago. I only play RTS and RPG games now.
Most Twitch streams are 30 fps and there is no noticable problems in any games.
Also I think it is more noticable if FPS is not constant but goes up/down a lot, even if it does not drop below 30.
