doesn't it also allow ppl to just spam away, making defense easier?

That was actually really surprising. I think most devs actually suck at their own game. I dont think resource managment is a big deal in this type of game, like TF2. I don't find it it objectionable.

I mean if this game would be just about gun play, then I would say that taking away ammo is not a good idea. But with all the different heroes and abilities there is more then enough you can keep track of to be better then your opponent.

It is hard to hit when half the classes have z axis movements and you can't detonate it in air. Giving limited ammo would mean rebalancing the entire game with the risk of making it more static.

It is a TON of fun. It is (imo) a GREAT balance between hardcore and casual. Its as competitive as you make it/want it to be. When you have a team full of try-hards actually using the comm's its fun as hell. But it also sucks when you are getting your shit pushed in vs a competent team. There is a TON of room for play-making and out-plays. It has a super high skill ceiling, but is still playable for the masses. Cant wait to see some competitive matches of this, because of ultimate synergy, we might see some spectacular stuff in the future in terms of plays. I think all of the tank classes are in a pretty solid spot. Widowmaker is by far the easiest to play Sniper... but Hanzo can be god-tier if the player is good with him. His ult can literally win or lose a game int he final moments, but he can also be absolutely garbage if the player is bad. Pharah is by far the strongest champion in the game, and expect to see some sort of nerf for her in the future as pretty much everyone agrees she is strong. I didnt play much of the supports, so I dont have any opinions on them. My personal favorite was Junkrat. I seemed to always do the most damage when I was playing him. Bastion might see some nerfs simply because he is way too easy to play, and is such a staple on all defending teams. Tracer is a skill-based champ imo. It can either be completely useless, or a complete terror depending on who is playing her. Reaper seems to be pretty great as a tank killer and sneaking into the backlines. His ult can be pretty great too. Soldier is pretty boring imo, and I didnt play much of him, but he doesnt seem weak at all, just boring. The game sort of has the same problem as LoL in that some games you get 2-3 players who all like the same role/char and its hard to win without a properly balanced squad. IMO this game is going to be huge. Also, after playing it the only way I can see them monetizing this game is with skins/taunt emotes. Game would be unplayable without access to all the characters. Super fun game, and am stoked that my friend lent me his account for the weekend. Also for the whole ammo thing... I am glad its infinite, as limited ammo means you simply have to eventually die for no other reason than you ran out of ammo and couldnt do your job. And there is enough room to make plays that I dont see a need for limiting ammo... in fact most of the classes would be quite horrible if you limited their ammo

Having 5 good players running around doing nothing worthwhile means nothing in a game revolving around objectives. K/D DO NOT MATTER but so many people are only looking for kills and solo outplays and ignoring the objectives/their teammates and its soooooooooo hard to win if people dont play their roles. Watching this stream atm and its hilarious...all of the streamers are just all shouting and ignoring eachother and all of them keep doing their own things and the blizzard team is laughing and just playing together. you can tell all of these streamers are used to being the shotcallers/leaders and are struggling to listen to eachother. HOLY SHIT LMAO this is a BLOODBATH this is the funniest thing ive seen so far in Overwatch. Everyone saying there isnt much room for a high skillcap..needs to watch this. This is the greatest example of skill differences and possibilities in this game. Its sooooo good. Also, I think summit is 100% wrong on snipers being not as good as Soldier on offense..which the dev team just 100% showed how wrong he was. Widowmaker is carrying dev team soooo hard on offense atm.\ also all the streamers tears are flowing... they love it when they are pubstomping but dont nearly enjoy it as much when they are against a premade of good players. It's so great after them being so cocky whenever they play their pubstomp games. Summit is a great McCree... u can tell he is a FPS pro...his aim is legit as fuck. Dont understand why he likes Soldier... it does less damage than McCree and is a better skirmisher in pubs but seems weak in organized.

Problem with Mercy..is in pubs, all you can do is pray that people listen to you, and can actually aim. Because she can only solo target heal/damage boost, but if your damage boosting a Hanzo or Widowmaker who cant aim...you now have 2 people doing basically nothing. Also with Mercy you REALLY need people to peel tracers/reapers off of you because Tracers will generally seek you out and follow you around if they arent fully retarded, and taking you out of the fight means you cant heal or rez (which is a game changing ult imo) Whereas Lucio provides increased regen/speed for his team, as well as a much better offensive kit than Mercy. Lucio's knockback can help you stay alive against a Tracer or Reaper. I have played a LOT of the Turret builder whose name is nordic and i dont remember... but he has a lot of issues... A. Junkrat shits on his turrets with one volley, or with a mine jump into suicide on top of it, hitting it with grenades on ur way down. And B. once his turret is down...it takes him a minute+ to build a new fully upgraded turret, and once his turret is down he is pretty worthless. He can be good, but idk most people dont seem to understand how to play him. IMO, you should save your Ultimate for whenever your turret dies, and never use it offensively. Because it lets you build a fully upgraded turret in 1/2 the time it does without ur ult, and you wont need to run around collecting scrap to upgrade either. But if the enemy team hits A, ruins your turret and rushes B and you dont have a fully upgraded turret up yet... you need your team to carry because you are dead weight and probably going to cost your team the game. In my games when this happend, I would instant switch to Bastion so I could go turret mode, instead of needing the scraps+time to build a new fully upgraded turret. Bastion is the no-brainer go-to for defending because he is literally just a turret...but good tracers/junkrats/reapers can really ruin your day, and once you are out of turret mode you are pretty worthless. But on most maps while on defense...there are corners you can go turret mode against and make it almost impossible for anyone to kill you. Soldier seems worthless... its like a McCree for people who cant aim... His ult is literally just an aim assist...where if you can aim..it literally does nothing for you. McCree is a soldier with more damage and a scarier ult. And Pharah is a lot more mobile, does a lot more damage, and has a high impact ultimate... Soldier is another one that is a solid noob character because its literally just a basic FPS character...but is one of my least favorite champs to have on my team.... Because the only thing he is good at..is going off and trying to bait people into 1v1's..but they can just ignore him and go for the objective. I would rather have any of the other characters that share his type. My ideal team would probably be: Mercy Lucio Winston Tracer Widowmaker/Hanzo and Phara/Zarya ..because seeing the devs run that Zarya+Tracer combo..was glorious. (but imo Zarya is the hardest of all the tanks to play correctly..because if you dont use your E correctly..you are wasting half of your kit.) Timing ultimates together seems to be the trick to winning. Lucio Ult + Winston Ult + Mercy ult = pretty hard to lose the teamfight. Zarya + Hanzo ult can kill an entire team if done correctly. Same with Zarya + Reaper...scary stuff. IDK I really enjoyed playing supports and would definitely play them a lot more if I had 3-4 good players to group with, so I knew they were going to put my damage boost to good use, as well as listen to me when im frantically chasing them begging them to save me from a winston or a tracer. ^^the minute long game of devs crushing Summit and the streamers.
