Wait, they are selling the game as fast paced, high damage, lots of deaths with quick respawns and free character swaps so you can freely adapt to any situation/what the enemy is playing with a heavy teamwork element... And that is exactly what you experienced?
What maps do you feel are too cramped? Most maps have some tight areas and some open areas so you have places where different heroes are strong. Dorado is huge and open and favors snipers over nearly the entire map. Numbani is much tighter with lots of cover to play Tracer and Reaper. King's Row first point is heaven for long range heroes, but most of the pushing section is tight corners and small rooms.
What about solo queue was so terrible? The lack of teamwork? The raw power of Bastion/Torbjorn on defense?
As someone that was in the closed beta, open beta weekend solo queue is always super painful, because the new players don't understand the developing meta. They also don't understand the matchups or the maps. Which leads to lots frustrating stuff like new players suiciding repeatedly into Bastion because they don't know they can just take a different rout. Or defenses so far away from the cap point that a D.Va or Pharah can just fly around the area and cap the point behind them. Once the general community gets more experience, it gets way better.
Also, you didn't play my favorite character. IMHO Zarya is the best designed character in the game. <3

Seem to have found my muse in playing Symmetra, I was a Flak Cannon junkey in my times in UT99 so aiming is not my strong point. What I do well it seems is supporting the team and spamming turrets everywhere, always looking for the perfect spot to place a teleporter.

Played the game first time in open beta got to like lvl 28 so far. Having trouble playing against reinhardt+some healer in payload missions. He just sits on the wagon and like zenyatta throws orb or mercy 24/7 heal and it's near impossible to stop. Any good heroes to really counter reinhardt in general? I've had some successes with tracer by just going behind him and trying to go for headshots but that seems like a low percentage play. Junkrat seems to be the only one to reliably kill the shield but it still takes forever.
So yeah just any advice playing vs that hero would be appreaciated, thx.

Fly high with pharah then concussive shot behind the reinhardt shield. Theyll scatter apart and your team and yourself should be able to pick them off.

i just hook reinhardft from the sides or behind, that often does the trick allready. Its not like anyone is watching the rear in this game ever, or just take a dmg guy if you can actually aim and kill the healer plus a few dps before you go down, bonus points for having a area clear ultimate.

Just have your team focus down the reinhardt shield. It dies pretty quickly if everyone shoots at it and you have some semblance of DPS on the team.
If reinhardt can sit on the payload and move it for free at max speed (with 2 other people) then it sounds like the team isn't actually playing the objective more than anything and the problem isn't reinhardt but rather team play
