Reminds me of what it reminds most, Team Fortress. However i don't really care if it looks or plays like X and Y. All i want is to be a good game and something else to entertain me :D

No, I am not 100% sure that Blizzard sells more copies of games in the US or EU. It has North America at $2190 million and Europe at $1824 million. Quite a difference but still big enough that I'd think they would release it at the same time across regions if that were the only factor.

I believe WoW's beta servers have always been in the US, even for EU Betas.
I would assume the same will be true for Overwatch so that is one reason why US comes before EU.
Also translation can play a factor in the rest of the world being behind the US.

Yeh that includes the Activison franchises like CoD and Skylanders. But when I look at PC-games games like Starcraft, Counterstrike and MOBA*s, it seems that there are alot more European than NA players.

Distribution channels are another one. Although, that's less an issue in the age of digital distribution, it's still present - EU ppl remember how bad Twitch was/is for you guys?

Also don't underestimate the inertia of "We've always done it this way".

I can't wait for games, that start 6 bastion into 6 times the counter lol. But wow that 2 point cap game was over in a few seconds. Didn't know what hit em.

Compared to CS:GO the fights looked damn confusing. Too much animations etc.

Well thats a given since the game is you have 3-4 abilities each, you dont have to worry about that in CS:GO.

Has there been any talk about the movement options in particular? The feeling I get is that the game is going start having some nasty deadlock meatgrinders once people figure out the classes and maps a bit and stop running around aimlessly. In the longer run you probably want to have some tools avoid the nastiest focus fire zones and whatever else there is.

Maybe the map design or character abilities allow you to navigate through worst stalemates and defensive fortifications somehow, but so far I'm not sure how things are going to play out.

There are plenty of movement options to break stalemates, I think this is rather well made, e.g.: Hanzo wall climbing, Widowmaker grappling hook, Junkrat bomb jumping, Pharah jetpack, Reaper shadowwalk - the maps are also designed so that you can always find a backdoor to go around a fortified position, even if you don't have the option to go vertical as the aforementioned characters. Of course, you will have to adapt your team to break stalemates and can't do this with every single comp.

Only thing that I see as problematic is when you get overrun hard in the first engagement and lose an objective. The next time they will have ults to beat you up even harder.

Map design seems to have multiple height levels, 1 or 2 hallways around the main hallway and 1 or 2 reachable by jump mechanic pathways.
And then there is still airways for the flying rocket slinger and the healer who can melt any group of people staying around.

This game actually reminds me quite a bit of Firefall.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

Well, the newer Firefall at least, only without the single player. I still prefer the older Firefall that didn't have the stupid loadout/ultimate things.

From what I recall from an interview, there's a losing bonus to your ult timer, where if you die a bunch in quick succession you get charges. Not exactly sure how it works though.
