It would be better if they just split player pools into leagues like in sc2 where there was bronze to masters etc. That way you have an idea where your skill pool is but at the same time have the anonymity of individual rating between yourself and teammates. So the next time you see someone that is lvl 150 you wont freak the fuck out--because he is in bronze league just like you.
Either that or just remove player level from being displayed.
I don't understand why anyone would freak out, just because of someone's higher player lvl. If you play the game casually, it probably won't happen because of the hidden mmr and if you wanna play on a competitive lvl you will get the competition you're looking for.. At the end of the day all the player lvl shows is the time investment and not the skill, just like in any other fps progression system out there.
Playing against Mei right now is pretty frustrating. Her right-click range and damage is so insane, it was fine before the cooldown buff. And her CQC is just as good as well. And in the chance you flank her she just iceblocks + ice wall and escapes.
I feel like reducing her ammo capacity to 150 would merit the changes to her right-click. That way Mei can get punished for spamming right click and missing when we try to CQC her.
Well they are overbuffing overnerfing right now to see if things work out well. Mei works out really well atm, might nerf her icicle damage in some way though.
But no idea, with all those strong 150 hp heroes around Symmetra finally is super useful. But I think they will revert Genji to 200 hp and reduce his ability to chew through a whole team. Don't mind a hero that needs two supports to be overpowered and one to actually work normal. But it will destroy many quickmatch comps, because there will be Genji Mains. And they will hurt more then any other of those one char players.
But I really like how they balance atm. Don't like that they are fixing cool bugs animation cancel bugs .

I like Mei, she is one of my 4 mains and yes, the spamming right click is too powerful. That being said, I don't think reducing the ammo would solve the issue. They should slow down the attack speed by a few seconds, that way spamming won't be an issue anymore and it will be more like a hit or miss skill shot thing.

Been trying to get good with Genji. Man I gotta give it to Genji players, this guy takes some serious control and patience. But he definitely awards those who are good with him.
I find it odd that Blizzard is already selling this game, but I can't even find the system requirements on their site. I guess they are expecting me to pre-purchase FPS game, without knowing if I will be able to run it at 100+ fps... Yeah, not gonna happen.
Also, I know this is an old practice, but still, why are europeans paying higher price than every other region, again ? America, SEA,Taiwan and Korea are paying equivallent of(or even less than) 39$... We have to pay 44 dollars, for some reason.

She's pretty powerful even in solo queue games, I often end up with gold medals in multiple categories with her.
As d.va you're one of the mobile heroes, using her shift ability to fly around and knocking down people is pretty good. you can also get back from being knocked off the map by Lucio, Reinhardt, or Roadhog. Fly past a lot of different obstacles to make it quicker to points than your opponents think you can etc to flank. This ability alone make her very good in assaulting points, especially combining her boost with her ult is powerful to lob a bomb into a group of opponents (or next to lots of turrets) usually hitting just a few things a little bit lets you get a new mech straight away so it's a pretty safe attack (as in you get a new mech you're far away while not in a mech) with just a little bit of practice with it.) Using her E ability makes you able to counter a few people's ults (Pharah's, McCree, Reaper, Soldier:76) it is also really good if the other team is "clumped up" and you cancel most if not all of their attacks for the duration of the ability.
Once you're out of the mech stay back and just shoot across corners where you see people trying to peak. You just want to get damage in while staying pretty mobile yourself without being too close to the enemy. If it's a 1v1 situation you might still be able to kill your opponent if you keep on firing on them.
D.Va is AMAZING. I love playing DVA even if I do suck with her ult compared to others.
Shes more of a bruiser if that makes sense than a tank. Shes an off tank. Play her on Attack instead of Defense to get an idea of how to use her biggest strength -- flanking and CQC
She has crazy mobility with her shift (you can jump hit shift and fly around the map better than anyone else). Her defense matrix stops all incoming projectiles attacks in the zone shown on screen. If the other team has a widowmaker or hanzo or zenyatta sitting far back you can often press E hit shift to get to them once you know the routes a bit better and wail on them.
Your boost does knockback and damage if you hit people (good disrupt). Your defense matrix lets you block any big attacks (pharah ult, a bastion left clicking etc). And she doesnt need to reload - ever. Her mech attacks with basically super high spread shotguns. Get in your opponents face, aim at their head and hold left click. If they run away boost after them and keep attacking them. In close quarters only reaper and roadhog really out damage dva. Her pistol also has very high damage.
The nice thing about dva is her health pool is split in 2 so you can be fairly aggressive with her in 1v1 situations since losing your mech means you get 150 hp back and a high ROF/DMG pistol to ping headshots with. People really understimate her dmg outside of the mech but she has no damage fall off and high dmg. So if you can retreat while pinging their head you can win almost any 1v1 if you get the drop on them with full mech hp regardless of who you fly into.
Just remember -- she isn't there to soak damage. Her hp is there to let her get in someones face but shes TERRIBLE against large numbers of people in straight up fights. Reinhardt has tons of CC and his auto is AoE, Roadhog instagibs and has a high spread ult and heals himself, winston has AoE on his tesla and a shield. D.Va has none of this. Try to focus on single individuals and shoving them out of a fight.
Fly in - smash a target, fly out. In teamfights disrupt the back line when oyur ult is up. When they destroy the mech you have a second or two to proc your ult as you pop out of the dead mech. This can often force the opponent to scatter after collapsing on you while your team continues to push.
Theres also the spirit bomb, where you can jump - boost - hit Q and then your mech will fly through the air and explode upon landing. Some maps will let you do crazy stuff from strange angles giving your opponents only a few seconds to respond to the ult as it lands in their vision radius forcing scatters or kills.
I am not that great at the spirit bomb but heres an example of a GREAT one:

Again, Lucio is too all-around good to not have on your team right now, the lag compensation is still kind of horrible and plays havoc with some skills like Roadhog's hook, and there's still a bunch of bugs here and there. All fixable problems, and I think the game is incredibly well designed.
i highly suspect their interpolation algorithm is absolutely fucking phenomenal. this puppy runs as smooth as glass. the problem is the tick rate is 20. with a tick rate of 64 i predict these issues occur only 5% as often as they do now.
the other guy saying its a "fake 100 ping" is just exaggerated anger i guess.
maybe PS4 and XBOX1 servers can't do a tick rate of 64? it would be a crying shame if Blizzard had to make a deal with MS and Sony that forced them to keep their PC version run on 20 ticks. i guess we'll find out May 24th or during the open beta.
Someone on reddit examined and studied packets. Server runs 64 tick client side is 20 tick. Hopefully they improve the PC client to update more often but the server does indeed run 64.
One of the funniest matches I've been in was a 6 d.va assault on Volskaya (I was on the team defending vs these 6 d.vas) they took the first point sooooo damn quick (we did end up wining after a long drawn out fight on point B after they sadly gave up their 6 d.va strat.
