Gorefiend, siegecrafter etc. type bosses are what mythics are at "worst" and it should be kinda obvious after 300 wipes who is and who isn't able to do what's required. Reason why so many guilds disbanded on bossX is because it's easier to join existing one if you've plenty of players who needs replacing.

Iskar and Socrethar are jokes, Fel Lord isn't that scary either. Tyrant is not that bad with the legendary ring and Xhul'horac is heavily comp dependent.

it should be kinda obvious after 300 wipes who is and who isn't able to do what's required Bosses still exist that command 400-500+ wipes from the best players who play the game, like mythic archimonde and system daemons on release. Worse players have more time and usually more gear to balance it out, but they're still worse players than the best in the world so wiping as much or more isn't surprising I'd rather they be at the end of the boss and if on the last tier, have a scaling nerf system like the one seen in icecrown citadel so that a wider range of players at that general skill level can kill them eventually after 5 or 10 months. In WoW's case there is a huge gear scaling thing helping you out but it's still evident that only (iirc) ~10-15% of mythic raiders kill the last boss, likely true for other difficulties too. With that mechanic i would personally play longer, without it i'd have to either abandon all of my friends in an already strict guild (if i was even capable myself of every boss mythic) or simply stop playing after reaching about 5-10 bosses until the next expansion

Crossrealm Mythic, the return of Valor, Cataclysm timewalking dungeons (+Pit of Saron and Magister's Terrace), and 2 neat mounts (infinite dragonflight as a rare drop from timewalking, moose from a quest item off Heroic/Mythic Archimonde)

Valor has returned! and your first Raid Finder run each week I believe they mean.. justice points have returned ![]() Gear upgrades are interesting - and 720, 725 drops from 5-mans. 10ilvls really mean a lot at this point. Simcraft has i720 and i735 profiles showing a ~30-35% gain from 15ilvls. I'm not sure exactly what they contain but more gear drops and ability to boost current stuff by 10ilvls should mean substantial player power increases Also a little sad that they only put one of the end dungeons from LK and Cata in timewalker - LK ones were some of my favourite dungeons ever and i have not seen the cata ones yet as i stopped playing the patch before Also 685-725 gear from Mythic dungeons, upgradable by 10 more ilvls (695 - 735) while the dungeons themselves require about 630-660 depending on your skill is a little bit weird

And ofc the fact this runs against their very design motto this expansion. Get a piece and be able to use it right away! oh wait nope, scratch that, go upgrade it first because otherwise its lower ilvl that what you were already using.

Kinda nice to actually have a reason to do 5 mans / lfr / mythic for longer once you're BIS rather than just quitting until the next content patch hits. Sure it'll be a stealth nerf to the current content but hey at least you have something to do.

Your going to be going through them like a steamroller. Before long it will feel like your doing MoP dungeons at 100.

725's will be rare, but present which is relevant as a ton of people will get meaningful upgrades from those dungeons. It's a shame though that chests, head, gloves, legs, shoulder are mostly unusable and dungeons drop a lot of them (compared to few weapons, unusable trinkets, etc) ------ reading so many guild applications has made me very aware of how many people are playing on toasters lol athlon 64, ati radeon 2600 pro, gt610, 650m's etc

I like having stuff to do even if it is completely brain dead

I think people are also overestimating how frequent 725 drops will be from mythic dungeons, since you have a chance of anything from 685 to 725 (intervals of 5) and 725 is lowest drop rate with 685 highest. Plus, my understanding is it can't be buffed with Valor, so Heroic Zakuun onward gives equal or better gear edit: quickest leveling is getting an elixir of the rapid mind (without a 100 you'll have to buy it off the AH for like 10-15k gold) and using it to finish off all the bonus objectives in gorgrond + turn in some quests in the duration of the buff, this gets you from 93 to 98 or so, and then you can finish up in Spires of Arak with the 20% exp buff choice from the outpost. With the elixir and flying you can be 100 from 90 in a few hours. Without doing this and just doing the questlines etc. first time through, it's like 10-15 hours or so? To gear up, go to Tanaan Jungle at 100 and gather baleful items and get them upgraded, do the legendary ring line (there's a few catchup mechanisms via the shipyard and a weekly quest). Once you're like 670-675 or so you can try to start doing groups for Mythic dungeons, which drop 685 with a chance of 705 (they're getting changed in an upcoming patch). If you have a level 100 already this gets easier because you can maybe get Draenor Pathfinder for flying (makes leveling so much quicker), and do dailies on it to buy Empowered Apexis Fragments for 20k Apexis to upgrade baleful gear. They're Bind on Account so you can mail them between characters. You can also get the Empowerments as random drops from rares (I think? It may only be the 4 bosses, Doomroller/Vengeance/etc.) and from the Call to Arms bags for Heroics.
