it's very hard to say who's legit or not, there's only really 1 person on the planet whom i would believe 100% at his word; some guys i met 2 weeks ago i have no idea. I never even directly talked to those involved, but it was a weird way to spice up the raid with people disconnecting mid-fight to get 6 month bans was something like this~ *mechanic* *2 second gap* "<charname>, move right" "<charname>, move" "sorry guys i'm disconnected" "WTF BANNED FOR 6 MONTHS"  | ||

And then somebody got a 15 ilvl upgrade on their tier piece while i was at 3/5 and need rolling on it because we broke loot council for literally 1 day while testing new people fuck | ||

+ Show Spoiler + ya i was slightly annoyed (because i wrote "need for 4 piece" in raid chat before anyone rolled, and that's usually what we did - we even have loot council usually with explicit priority for set bonus, which i gave up several pieces for other people to get 4p) and it was only that 15 ilvl upgrade to him on slot he already had tier piece on. Particularly because we're probably starting mythic very very soon (maybe even tomorrow) and only about 80-90% of our active raiders will have spots. I hate that situation all around, flex is very sweet but the hard transition into 20 man mythic is awful. If you have a roster of 15, it sucks. Everyone and their mother is looking for those last few players to do 20 man. If you have 25 players it also sucks. That's the only time i really care about loot; it's cool to gather, but in a guild environment if you're playing with people who are actually competitive and you have to stay on your toes to keep up with or beat, falling behind and then being excluded from content with limited raid spots on the basis of gear alone, then falling further behind on gear because of not doing that content is just a nightmare all around. I'm doing good ATM though, just missing the 4 piece set (and hopefully a bit better weapon, but 675 with good stats is still fine) and seem to have good numbers for MM (i got >38k with ~i678? on grull today) i just have to probably do the super awkward transition into BM without knowing a thing about it Dem crits though. My Chimaera shots have reached ~185k (per target!) with procs up and double 130k damage kill shots from like 46 yards away instant cast with only 1 GCD of delay is really sick. That's before multistrikes too (the alchemy trinket actually gives over 1400 agility on proc, it's a huge amount of damage) | ||

Big change for me was getting used to double casting cobra shot to keep steady focus up. (at least compared to focusing shot survival which I played prior). | ||

If anything its the switch from crit/multistrike gear into haste/mastery that sucks more than anything. Yea that's gonna be annoying. BM best stats being MM's worst; i've actively avoided those two like the plague~ though i have not had that much choice recently, there just happened to not be much haste/mastery on gear and i didn't go for the good BM trinkets really. I have Blackhand HC trink and stone of fire (285 versatility, ~30k extra heal on potion, ~1.4k agility for X seconds proc that has good uptime) I have not looked at BM stat prio really, but at least for MM, most of the stats are relatively equal*. Haste doesn't improve stuff like your Barrage while every other stat does, mastery penalizes a lot of movement but doesn't give you more DPS per point as a reward for that (bad design i think) ~ versatility is not so amazing DPS per point, but it also has a notable damage reduction bonus for you, so i don't consider it a bad stat. I've probably gone, overall, crit>multistrike>versatility>mastery/haste if given the choice, though it's not perfect for DPS sims *80 crit might be better than 100 haste. However it's not like frost DK where at some point, some stats were worth 1.5x+ more than other stats; a 640 gear with one set of stats could beat a 655 that had crit mastery for example. Due to the DK's guaranteed crits on Obliterate and focus on physical damage, the critical strike chance and frost damage amplification were just terrible for 2h frost. So bad that a big ilvl upgrade of strength didn't outweigh how much it would suck to equip them. For hunter, simply having the highest ilvl gear~ the amount of agility and bonus stat points will probably override trying to hold on to weaker gear because it has X and Y stat, assuming BM is not too heavily biased towards those few stats (according to Noxxic which i just googled for a quick view, their best stat is worth only ~14% more DPS per point than versatility, the worst dps per point stat, so that seems very good) Overall that neutrality towards stats probably plays a big part in hunter strength. Frost DK gets neutered if the gear that drops (or even the gear that's available) has the wrong stats on it. That's one thing i learned the hard way to look out for when selecting a spec. If it's only competitive against X amount of targets with plenty of time to stack gear with Y and Z stat, it's not as good as a class that's just all around powerful with any stats, any gear level and any target count. | ||

Survival definitely had the multistrike bias, and it was so high that it just overtook almost everything, hence it's nerf in 6.2 cause of gear scaling and offsetting it with simply more mastery. Haste is important as BM simply for pet focus, because the more you can cast bite on cooldown and the more it's above 50 focus, the more focus fire procs you get (& more damage), which is why it's up there in importance. Speed / focus regen doesn't mean anything, it's all about getting more bites off on your pet.
