Regarding zoning, you have to do quests to advance the story early on... so that might have been your problem. | ||

They usually do that every time a new expansion comes up. Otherwise cost of entry would be insane by now :p | ||

Not that it matters much, I won't be playing for a while when this free week is done. They didn't give free exps until cata->MoP did they? Edit: The quests were simply bugged, delevery was to on top of that first temple (horde yeah). strange that they hadn't been fixed yet lol. | ||

dks have always been good at soloing and 6.0 threw balance out the window since its to costly to go fine tune everything again so yes stuff like that becomes possible. | ||

I know, but this is the first time an end of expansion patch has so broken the balance that the final raid boss is soloable. | ||

In WoD, power shouldn't increase so rapidly with ilvl. Blizz recognized that issue in MoP and is trying to prevent it from happening again in WoD. And of course upgrading has been removed. So we'll see how that goes. | ||

In WoD, power shouldn't increase so rapidly with ilvl. That's not necessarily the case. In fact, every expansion has increased every character's scaling with gear. We currently have much, much less spellpower than we did during Wotlk (and sort of similar levels of haste and crit), but stuff like removing hit, mastery, and adding new stats makes characters considerably more powerful than in that era. If anything, it's likely that characters will scale even more ridicolously than before. | ||
