I most likely won't ever forget the voice of Arthas at the end of Zul'Drak, as weird as it sounds. We didn't spoiler us before, so we were actually a bit surprised to see him there - first time hearing the voice. Honestly, that will stick as the most striking moment in WoW to me i think. I wouldn't call Ulduar one of the best raids though, i was really annoyed with alot of it. You could say that it was quite versatile, but the vehicle-combat annoyed the crap out of me, so tedious. Price for best raid for me would go to BWL or BT. Maybe because of nostalgia, but i really liked those. edit: for the plot, sigh.. As long as there's something else than orcs to fight, i'm fine. Gets really old now. BT was really great, but you can't knock Ulduar just for the FL fight (namely the shit before it). That was a huge pain in the ass after a while, waste of time, but the fight itself was unique, and the rest of the raid is only better. Yeah, but the "sigh, again that shit" feeling stuck to me everytime we went raiding there. Dunno, just wasn't for me. There certainly were interesting fights, Kologarn comes to mind, Mimiron - but there's also very boring fights like Razorscale, AoI, Freya etc. Guess that goes for every raid, but every time i heard "tonight ulduar clear" in my head i went "fuck, ...". That's the predominant feeling that i have when thinking "Ulduar". Maybe because i was Healer at the time, and the fights weren't really interesting in terms of healing. edit: to be clear, i didn't like Flame Leviathan at all, not just the crap before. I never understood why people liked it. edit2: i actually think the reason why BWL left such a big impression is simply because after molten core, it was a pretty big step up in terms of mechanics and difficulty. I'd say the biggest gap in terms of raid-difficulty (and mechanics) in two consecutive raids ever to happen in WoW. AQ40 was interesting too, just got really, REALLY old really quick.
I healed during Ulduar, in fact my guild 2 healed the whole thing. (10 man obviously)
When I think back to it I think of 2 man healing Heroic XT or Hodir. That shit was NUTS. It was super fucking fun.
Progression Yogg-Saron was the best fight I healed through in WoTLK even beating out the Lich King.
Ulduar was super fun to heal.

I wish there was more to do while we wait!

I'm actually fairly excited right now for WoD. This will be the first expansion I'm fully in tune with from the get-go. Now that I've finally graduated school, my schedule is much more stable (as well as finances) and I don't have to take 2-4 week breaks randomly throughout the year.
|
I'll be in school for the next 3 years but that ain't stopping me lol.
What and where will you play aks? You ain't on da list.

Currently, I'm on NA-Area 52 Horde and NA-Sargeras Alliance. I don't know my battle tag info from work.

In grad school so I can actually take the Thursday off I think and just play. I have a real raid team this time around as well since my MoP teams died and my Cata/Wrath team slowly dissolved over the course of DS/MoP.

Never went 10s. Heroic XT was boring, Hodir wasn't really interesting either. Thorim was decent, Yogg-Saron was fun. Algalon at least looked good.
On another note, just bought Blizzcon Virtual Ticket - are the pets for the tickets generally accountbound or could i sell it if i see it fit?
|
Almost certainly account-bound.
|
Meh. Would've been a nice bonus, i'm not collecting pets or battle them. :/
edit: got him now, he doesn't even have a special animation, it's just critters being feared from him (without him actually doing something). That's extremely lame compared to the last couple ones. -.-

I'm feeling the same way. Every time an X-pac came out "life" always got in the way. This time it's coming out in the winter and work slows down for me. I should have 3-4 months of pretty good play time lots of days off or short days, and nothing to stop me really.
Hoping to actually do relevant content for the first time since Vanilla, pretty excited actually.

Sigh. Worst panel ever going on in Blizzcon. Oh well, Q&A will be the only interesting one. Hopefully..

Yeah best was this guy saying some shit about how healing is going be effective in PvP now due to changes "I am 2k rated pvper" then one of panellists says "scrub" hahahaha.

If I currently have a kill on Thok and Paragons, but not for siegecraft or Garry, what type of group can I join? What type of group can I not join? I'm still a bit confused on how that works. Can I not join a group @ Paragons with the intention of riding the group through garry?

You are able to join a paragon group, you will however not be able to get loot from Paragons since you already killed it. (this is assuming your not talking about mythic)
Non mythic you can always join any group you want and kill bosses an infinite amount of times. You can however only ever get a chance for loot once per boss per difficulty.

WoW Q&A started. Awkward as always

Ion Hazzikostas gives some amazing in depth answers to some questions that don't even validate them, pretty amazing. Makes me jealous since I'm still mainly playing Wildstar.
Man the question about the server wide AQ gates event got quite disappointing replies. It's still to date one of my most if not most memorable experiences from any game. Having the server stability issues added to the epicness of it to to some extent imo. Surely some server advances have been made during the last decade.

Two fucking eyebrow questions. Holy shit.
