Frankly, I don't get it. I thought you were supposed to create one yourself, instead I just talked to an NPC, asked him to build it, and it was there instantly. Pre-built with NPCs, walls, buildings, roads...

Nope thats it, The Garrison is your forward base on a new planet, its the Alliance/Horde base of operations and you are the Commander of the Alliance/Horde forces on Draenor.
What did you really expect tho? That you had to put down every stone yourself? You get the decide which buildings go in your Garrison.
Anyone else having issues updating at all? my download sets up but in a best case scenario i download at 20 kb/s...yes 20 kb/s. I've never had any issues updating.
The background downloader artificially caps the speed. I think it might be some percentage of your total available speed to keep from messing other stuff. Mine capped at 100kb but I changed it higher. That said, thats just the background one, if it is the main downloader (with a bar and stuff) I dont know what to say.

Yeah its uncapped and all, im having issues with it atm AND had issues with the background one for 2 days straight. I've tried restarting the client, playing with the p2p setting and nothing.
My WoW made it about 10 mins before crashing lol. I was just checking to see if servers were up and wasnt planning to play anyways. We will see what its like in a few days when I get back in town. I definitely will be spending some time (re)building my UI and addons.
I'm still DL'ing the patch, but I must say that I find the updated UBRS an incredibly nice touch on Blizzard's part. I fucking love that place in all its horror and glory.
How come the new anti-aliasing settings just make my game blurry lol..... CMAA gives me a big FPS hit (and blurry), and the other settings have minimal performance impact (just like pre-patch) but everythings blurry. Out of focus. Not just smoothed edges.
