Then, i had some time to spare and decided to check the forums about warrior arms changes on WoD.... so how fun are the rogue, mage or the lock at WoD ? i don't care about spec or OPness, just mechanichs that require me to think a little bit (as little it may be). Mages mostly aren't changed that much, except that you don't need the stars to align with alter time to do good damage. You can go rune of power with every spec now, and it's a little better than it was in mop, and that does require a lot of thought/planning, but is also annoying as fuck ![]() Fuck alliance

But they are the worst ranked of the healers and won't be needed in Mythic for example.

Yeah and this is what one of the few actually good players there had to say about Ret for example, which is one of the most emo specs atm http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1542776-Retribution-WoD-Alpha-Beta-Info-amp-Discussion?p=29935508#post29935508 http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1542776-Retribution-WoD-Alpha-Beta-Info-amp-Discussion?p=29946271&viewfull=1#post29946271 Shut up and play your char yo ![]()

Some classes like Moonkin and Ele still require bit of brains to get full potential out of it though. Not entirely true. Boomkins are by far the dumbest spec to play now. Actually, that's not entirely true. You're not really playing anymore, you're reacting to a bar that goes up and down by itself, with absolutely zero control (bar goes left, press left button for pewpew, bar goes right, press right button for pewpew, sometimes for proccs press middle button). It's like being a passenger in a train. What that new bar means for PvP should be quite obvious as well, you can now predict when a boomkin goes weeee and just dodge it. I was really into pruning, until i actually saw what they did to alot of specs. Not because of broken DPS/Healing (don't even know the numbers, since i wouldn't reroll for a better dps-class anyway, so i just go with it), but because of how they play. There's three, maybe four specs that are actually playable without getting a repetetive brain-aneurysm. Not that classes are overly complex on live (apart from PvP maybe, with focus/teammate specific macros). Now they're not complex at all anymore, just simple. Two things that can actually work well together, simple, but complex. And Blizzard can do it (see Hearthstone, incredibly simple, yet complex). Just not in World of Warcraft, apparently. edit As a Priest who mainly played during S6 and S7 of WOTLK, fuck TSG and melee cleaves. Mained a disc in S3, where i developed a deep, heartfelt hatred for restodruids and warlocks (R/P in 2v2). TSG and meleecleaves would be a welcomed change though, it has gotten boring, compwise. Also wish RMP would be viable again - not that i play any class in that setup anymore, just for the nostalgia.

Based on 20 minutes on a dummy on the PTR, I can say I will never play Boomkin post 6.0. Once they come to their senses and remove the Eclipse bar, then the spec might be playable. I ran SP/Aff in 2s S1-3 and I echo your utter disdain for resto druids. Luckily, they're pretty mediocre in arenas now and will be pretty horrible in 6.0 PvP because their instant heals are losing so much power.

Exciting to me for PvE, but I can see why a lot of people are going to shy away from it in Arena

About the HoT-centric niche, i think it's more good than bad if properly implemented. But it won't make them shy away from PvP, in fact, that niche was what made them so retardedly strong in the earlier seasons (especially LB, and obviously paired with clone). Although, it was a bit different, nowadays you just punch through the HoTs, back in the days you had to dispel them or you wouldn't be able to kill anything (which made LB so strong). Depending on how the numbers turn out (didn't see the damage/healing in PvP yet), might work again.
