Up till when I last played in Cata, JC was always the best profession to have because it would give you ever so slightly more stats than any other profession could. no profession has a benefit anymore so pick whatever.

Should I make an alliance garrison or a horde garrison? How many Wow nerds would come visit my garrison?

EDIT: Seeing Stancel's post, are there gonna be any inscription trinkets from DMF decks at the start of WoD like we always have? That might potentially bring good money at the start.

From beta info so far you can get everything you need with the profession buildings without the need to have anything, which I find a bit ridiculous. No need for enchanting since you can de stuff if you have the hut, no need for alchemy since you can use your hut to make flasks, no need for herbalism since you have garden, no useful items to craft for my rogue since I'll be raiding asap and hc dungeons gear is enough for EDIT: Seeing Stancel's post, are there gonna be any inscription trinkets from DMF decks at the start of WoD like we always have? For everything else profession wise: You need insane amounts of daily CD mats to craft epic gear and the only other way to get it is through workorders and you need raw materials (like leather/ore) to start those. So I actually think the best way is to get an oldschool combo like Mining/BS or Skinning/Leatherworking

Enchanting mats can be accessible to everyone with a garrison etc, couple of alts and all your garrisons give you everything xD The old school enchants that are coming back are going to make some money at the start though imo. Everyone loves abit of mongoose etc :3 Thats my hope anyway T.T

1. When you see a bonus objective, do it! 2. Pick the Shredder in Gorgrond (you can choose between shredder and arena), it gives you a way better questline with 4 bonus objectives next to it (for reference: 4 bonus objectives = more XP than 20 normal quests) 3. Always go to the next zone as soon as you have the level for it, increased XP on quests makes it worth every time 4. Don't use your garrison resources on stupid shit like 20% XP potion for 1 hour, you need every bit of it to build up the core of your garrison 5. You don't need to be in Orgrimmar or something to get the WoD starting quest, best would be to stay somewhere in Blasted Lands (except you want to turn in daily quests for XP at the start of the expansion, if someone knows a good spot, please let me know! 6. Only do dungeons if your zone is overfarmed or you just can't stand questing anymore (although the 2nd one is tough, because the quest design is the best I've seen so far in wow) 7. There are small treasures in every zone, similar to the chests on timeless isle, they give garrison resources, loot, pets etc. and also give 10.000 XP when you open them (similar to a quest) 8. This one is true every expansion: know the names of the first quest NPCs and get /target macros for them, also bind "Interact with target NPC" (or something along those lines) in your hotkey settings, so you dont have to bother with trying to click a NPC with 100 huge mounts in it Maybe I'll add more later, but those are the first things which cometo mind

I didn't know it was that drastic in terms of xp more. Also the shredder pick is useful.

You cannot make the best items in any profession without having said profession. You cannot make the best enchants, you cannot make the best flasks, you cannot make the upgrade items to increase ilvl of weapons/armor.

Just not the upgrades afaik edit: nvm I misread your post, thought you were saying you can't craft the best items AND you can't make best enchants, flasks and upgrades.
