No, he meant that the iron crafter on top of the forgebonus, and being a very good cheap researcher (45 gold for 7 research? wow), also provides +10 resources to the fort he's located in to be used from troop recruitment..... that's quite a rare mechanic, as far as i know only MA ulm and Caelum can abuse it that well | ||

If you're a lurker, the reason you should play Dominions is because things this detailed happen ... by the hundreds and thousands every battle. A warrior chieftain and his retinue of a dozen barbarians (6 points of PD), peacefully minding their own business, are attacked by a pack of ravening jaguar warriors wielding flaming macauhuitls and vowing to fight on even with mortal wounds (F9D4 bless) out to capture young lasses for the horrible blood sacrifices required by the Mictlan Candle Company, along with their rock- and stick-throwing chaff buddies. This will clearly not do, so they grab their greatswords and charge into their deaths. The barbarians charge in between the two giant stacks of jaguars, both of which turn around and chase them, leaving our brave chieftain and one of his useless redshirt buddies that's already been bonked in the head by a rock squaring off against two ravening jaguar warriors. The chieftain gets the first swing and lops the arm off of one of the fiends with his greatsword. He tries to punch him, but Chief Leeroy repels him. The second jaguar hits him, his steel armor shattering the obsidian blades, but the force of the blow cracks a rib. Motivated by this, the redshirt runs away, leaving Leeroy alone to fight the monstrosities. Not that happy about this development, Leeroy turns to the one-armed jaguar and impales him square in the chest with his zweihander. The warrior's jaguar hide merges into his body and he becomes a ferocious werejaguar, albeit one with a mortal wound from the gaping hole in his chest and only the one arm. He tries to claw and bite Leeroy, who repels both attacks, the small cuts from the parries finally downing him. Leeroy parries the other jaguar's swing... and, before he can strike again, the other three dozen jaguars, done slaughtering his friends, run him down and chop his brave little head off. Battle log was: Leeroy hits Jag #1 (atk 25 vs. def 18) for 13 (32 damage - 21 prot) in the arm for 13 points (chopped off arm) Jag #1 repelled by Leeroy (28 vs. 14) Jag #2 hits Leeroy in chest (20 vs. 18) for 3 physical (22-19) and 4 fire (14-10) Leeroy critically hits Jag #1 (26 vs. 25) in the chest for 31 (30 damage - 5 prot) Jag #1 now in werejaguar form at -4/18 hp, alive due to undying Leeroy repels Jag #1's bite (19 vs. 14) and claw (32 vs. 23), knocking him to -5 and killing him. Jag #2 misses Leeroy (22 vs. 22) ... the rest overrun him. =) | ||
