HOLY FUCK ! this is amazing man! thanks , will watch :D
recently found this tool, thanks to B2W: http://www.wcreplays.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145532 by Nierenschredder. Its super easy to use and works on every Wc3 version and the patching only takes 5 seconds. its truly amazing. ive been watching lots of replays around version 1.13-1.15 . its funny how back then every Human player just rolled over and died against UD. Riflecaster will often not even kill more than 10 food from the UD army!
Blizzards adding new Wc3 models for Sc2 is awesome, but the models dont look so great in the preview. Anyways, Wc3 on Sc2 engine is only a question of time now!!
I remember WCG 2013 was super hype and sad because people thought it was going to be the last WC3 tournament, but it ended up showing up at WEC with a huge prizepool of 90k.

Several reasons actually.
One thing for sure: nice graphics are nice. There's no denying it. Plus, if you've played HotS, you may have gotten the feeling that the graphics are a weird mix of SC2 and WC3. There is still the cartoony feeling to them, which works well with these "HD" versions of WC3 too.
Secondly, dual monitors. WC3 is a pain to play on dual monitors, and I like my dual monitor setup. Having a full screen windowed mode through SC2 for WC3 would be quite nice.
Lastly, it's a fair bet that a well-handled HD version of WC3 would likely revitalize the scene a little bit. Can't hurt, right?
That video posted above is nice, though the Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth SC2 mod looks more polished. They're taking their sweet time with it, though. Like... Blizzard pace (well hopefully not).
Implement Patch 1.15 or 1.20 without Tome of Experience and the one mana regeneration item (which makes AM with Summon Water Elemental very strong with tower vs Orc).
I subscribed this thread but where in my profile I see it?
whenever I scout that my opponent is going for some kind of mass tower no t1 unit production facility and teching to t2 or t3 , I usually counter this with alot of scouting to detect where his hero is (to defend) and what he is doing , expand and and use early map control to get as much creep camps as possible , counter whatever he is going for using t 1.5 or t2 tech.....if it's a human , or a pitlord I set up a few towers to make blizzard/flamestrike or rain of fire not as effective.
I had to face this style 3 times today , I got fucking wrecked ! watching the replays again there is a possibility Im going up against hackers , but lets assume I didn't.
If u guys scout something like this , what do you do ?

I wasn't that into WC3 when it was an active game, but wc3 2v2 (and team games in general) were sooo much better than SC/SC2 team games...
So if a SC2 engine remake of WC3 were to revitalize interest in this game, along with an influx of more wc3 noobs like myself, that'd be quite fun I think.
Man I want to play WC3 team games now -_- Is everyone who still plays an absolute monster now or do bad players still exist?

For team games , you can find noobs on bnet , its never a bad idea to ask your team mates what to do too , my favorite team game for wc3 is 4v4 , that shit is fucking hilarious.
On another note , FUCK YEAH ! JINRO ON THIS THREAD !!!! :D

2v2's in WC3 are insanely fun. They really are. I was more of a solo player myself, but doing a few ATs was always enjoyable.
The one drawback would be that some combinations were far better than others. UD/NE and Orc/NE dominated 2v2's, with HU/NE and Orc/HU right in the middle, and Orc/UD + UD/HU far in the bottom. UD/HU had insane nuking potential, but just failed to measure up in every other area of 2v2's.
Nonetheless, lots and lots of fun. Don't get me started on 3v3's and 4v4's. I loved playing UD in those... Wyrm fest!!!
I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding your level. Noobs will always exist. I'd worry more about hackers than better players if you plan to play on BNet, if anything. I know w3arena has ATs, but given the relatively low player pool, it might be best to go with BNet for the time being. There will be delay and all that, but it should still be fun.
In other news, the devs of Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth have announced that they will be releasing a gameplay video in a little over a week. I look forward to it! Hopefully we can play it soon.
Long live WC3!
@Tchado
I think in those situations, securing an expansion is a safe move. It largely depends on the race you're playing though. If you're Human, then that should be no problem. If you're Undead on the other hand, you'll have to kill the hero and siege his base with fiends, meat wagons and all that. If you're playing Orc, assuming you went BM, you can prey on his hero rather easily and/or creep the important spots on the map for items. If you went FS, you can power creep and largely outlevel him and then try a siege tactic too, or expand, but it's more tricky as Orc. If you're NE, you can probably expand quite easily as well, and you can rely on Dryads to counter any mass air or stall ground units until you're ready to roll out the bears.
I don't know, it really depends on the match-up, to be honest.
