Man I want to play WC3 team games now -_- Is everyone who still plays an absolute monster now or do bad players still exist?
I played some WC3 2v2's recently with various friends. I know nothing about what units are good, when to tech/expand, etc. but we won plenty of games so I'd say that there's still a lot of bad players on Battle.net
I agree though, 2v2's in WC3 are much more entertaining. We won some games against Orc/Orc double Blademaster and it was so damn satisfying

OR/OR is actually preatty weak. Especially when going the same hero first. Might be annoying at start but you can counter both players at the same time relatively easy. HU/UD would smash that so hard...

Human/Undead and Orc/Orc are probably the weakest race combos in WC3.
And as always, if anyone wants to play some wc3, I'm always up for it.

where did you find the mod? i cant find it on the arcade
On February 06 2015 20:12 capu wrote: interesting but why would i play this when i can play the real thing?
Several reasons actually.
One thing for sure: nice graphics are nice. There's no denying it. Plus, if you've played HotS, you may have gotten the feeling that the graphics are a weird mix of SC2 and WC3. There is still the cartoony feeling to them, which works well with these "HD" versions of WC3 too.
Secondly, dual monitors. WC3 is a pain to play on dual monitors, and I like my dual monitor setup. Having a full screen windowed mode through SC2 for WC3 would be quite nice.
Lastly, it's a fair bet that a well-handled HD version of WC3 would likely revitalize the scene a little bit. Can't hurt, right?
That video posted above is nice, though the Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth SC2 mod looks more polished. They're taking their sweet time with it, though. Like... Blizzard pace (well hopefully not).
agreed, AoA is the real deal I hope
@Jinro: Lawl, are you kidding me?? 2 times in GSL semis and an MLG title and you think you cant play another RTS game well enough?? :D 4on4s are some kind of chaos, where 2 peiople will leave/disconnect at start, 1 will teamkill, and the rest will flame each other ))
@tschado: if youre human and the orc/human techs without baracks, just go 2rax with defend and attack him with 10 footies. footmen even do well against windriders ^^. if Ne techs withiut aow you can towerrush.

Yes, it is still possible to play on bnet. The casual community is actually still pretty large and it hardly takes any time to find a 4v4 (on EU server). As mentioned before in this thread by another poster, you will now and then encounter a leaver, an afk'er or a teamkiller, but at least never an arranged team.

HOLY FUCK ! this is amazing man! thanks , will watch :D
that was extremely laggy for me have high net speed. funny to hear the chinese commentary. so used to hear korean cast for sc -_-
Try adding ?cdn=lx at the end of the url. If that doesn't work you are probably out of luck tho.

Go to your B.Net launcher, there's a drop down menu where you select your region.
Select PTR, download it and log into the arcade and it should be on the popular maps list.
hey Jinro, it would be really interesting if you uploaded some replays!! you probably interpret the game quite differently than any of us and I think we would all appreciate it alot!

Today I played another 4v4 match via battle.net. Some guys were talking about a bot teammate. Could anyone tell me more about "bots" playing random (4v4) team games? I find it kind of strange to believe that bots are playing the ladder. Some kind of cheat or blizzard doing this to populate the servers?

That would be no surprise. There are bots in every game.
You'll see them in MMOs, you'll see them in Hearthstone, and I have no doubts that there could be some on WC3. It is not Blizzard's doing. They are literally not meddling with the game at all anymore, they're just doing what Blizzard does: keeping the game up as a token of legacy.
Their closest involvement to the game is implementing HD models on the SC2 engine.

There have always been Lossbots, that just quit the game after a couple of seconds to get to a MMR that is so low that they only meet other lossbots, hence basically wintrading. This was used to grind wins for pictures. Getting these in TvT sounds weird tho, as that would require people to play on ridiculously low MMR. On the other side the wc3 system was really bad sometimes, so I guess it's possible, especially if you have been playing on a fresh account.
Could also be a bot that actually plays the game, but that sounds weird somehow.
