I would agree with you, but the fact that they didn't announce anything, coupled with the fact that there're still multiple expansions for WoW being conceived (including the mythical Emerald Dream expansion), I highly doubt it. Blizzard is a business, and continuing WoW would generate more money than creating a brand new Warcraft RTS that would effectively compete with SC2. If WC4 is ever coming, it's going to be long after Legacy of the Void, and when WoW dies. | ||

And then it will take additional 4 years till they announce it and another 3 years to release it unbalanced. SC II development started 2003/2004 and finished 2010. There will be plenty of time for 5 more WoW Expansions till we can play Wc4 ( if they do it. ) But the current blizzard buisnessplan... I dont think there will be WC4. | ||

 Nice to see this thread still alive ! Been playing some wc3 here in China , I gotta say getting destroyed isnt fun  , but I'm learning alot playing here ! it's totally different than the EU ladder or Wc3Arena , funny thing is my boss here is a veteran wc3 player , not a pro or anything just a very high level guy who has been playing since 2004 , and we scrimmage all the time when we got nothing to do XD Speaking of the wc4 discussion I agree, it makes no sense to even mention it before Lotv is finished and has a few years under its belt, I doubt Blizzard will let the RTS legacy of Warcraft just die , although if they were going to use pre-wc1 lore in a game , i wouldve loved it to be an RTS , but even so I'm very happy to see sc2 taking an aggressive micro oriented route in its design.Now that I speak better chinese I rewatched "Beyond the game" , the documentary about sky , grubby and madfrog....previously i watched it without subs but now listening to sky is like listening to an experienced monk ! hell even a god ! his insight into the game , mentality , life story.....so fucking inspiring. | ||

i mean, you have Heroes (basically the projection of the player into the game), beautiful lively maps full of funny creeps and shops, powerful epic items... should have more appeal to a casual viewer (of which there are MASSES when you look at people like Pewdiepie) | ||

and I also watch tons of Lets plays, mostly to check out games though.have also watched all 100 episodes of Back2warcraft time better spent than with Breaking Bad!you should get an Emmy for that | ||

Just tweaked for better graphics and more functionality. The engine itself is the same. Also, the modders have said they've cleared it with Blizzard, legal-wise. They're safe from any form of attack on that point. 140k views in one week. It's honestly not bad at all. I think this mod could become the WC3's equivalent of Starbow for SC2. I'll definitely be playing it. Expect this thread to be a lot more active if the mod makes it. | ||
