There's some simple nice ones like multiple flavors of golden fluid pipe so you can do adjacent liquid piping properly. It doesn't make the golden stuff any cheaper or more potent, so I think it's a pretty solid addition.
There's some other stuff that's potentially very very good, like the teleport pipes, which I think would make ender tanks partially obsolete; however, I think the creation cost is comparable and Enders have some other benefits like buffers and higher flow rates. It seems like it might give you a good set of options where one isn't always the best.
Then there's some other more interesting pipes that do things we can't really do with BC right now like pipes that balance liquids between each side, round-robin sorting for more even distribution, insertion/extraction pipes which make for better distribution, etc. A bunch of these get obsoleted a bit by ME, but nice to have the options.
I didn't realize there was a new minecraft server (I had been logging in to the old FTB one a few times a month only to see no one on) and would love to join you all again,
I'll read through the thread now and see if I can figure out how to get everything installed and set up properly.
I put the server on a wired connection for now, which should help some of the lag we've been getting periodically. It's literally in my closet now, if anyone was wondering.
I would love to get a version of my oil power plant running again. I'm not seeing any method in the game as it stands to convert other kinds of energy to eu.
There really isn't any kind of conversion. You can use some of the same fuel source as power for both EU and MJ, though. Fuel and Oil can both be used in Combustions for MJ, liquid boiler boxes for steam (which can be used in a Turbine for EU or steam engines for MJ), and I think also in semi-fluid generators.
The pattern storage (mass fab) recipe changed since I last used it. The crystal memory is not available in NEI, but you can search the raw form for the recipe (and then cook it).
Server update completed. Mostly just mod updates (bug fixes, etc.). NEI should now be more accurate with IC2 recipes with regards to vanilla materials. Damage Indicators has been brought back now that it's updated. ExtraUtilities has been added, per pre-server poll (it wasn't updated for 1.6.4 at the time).
DON'T clear your config file. Copy the contents of config into your config folder, overwrite when prompted. Clear your mods folder EXCEPT the VoxelMods folder (it has your waypoints). Copy the mods folder contents into your now-nearly-empty mod folder
If you updated Forge, remember to add the crash-fix JVM param to your profile settings: -XX:MaxPermSize=128m
If you get ID conflicts, you probably screwed up the config update. You should still have all your old configs, plus the three new/changed ones.
Looks like Redstone Engines changed a little with how they heat up.
buildcraft: - Change: Reduce burn time of fluid fuels. (Player) railcraft: CHANGE: Re-enabled Boiler Explosions (they were disabled because of the Fluid update). CHANGE: Adjusted Fuel/Biofuel Boiler default heat values as per Player's new balance paradigm. 1/4th previous values. forestry: Bugfix: BuildCraft gate triggers have unique names, and should not crash. project red: ADDED: Ore Dictionary registration for gems extra utils is out!: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1776056-164forge-extra-utilities-v034/ thaumcraft: - shift clicking with an empty hand on alembics or jars will empty them - hovering over an aspect in the aspects page of the thaumonomicon will now show what items has that aspect and how much. - when using hoe of growth on silverwood and greatwood saplings the tree will only grow serverside like it is supposed to. - haste should stick around after loading into a world/dimension - being close to their "home" position when placing items/liquids in a different container should no longer confuse golems - re-added the travelers boots ability to run up blocks infernal mobs: - sticky, poison, fiery, rust and wither no longer get applied to attackers using indirect damage sources - depending on code implementation this may or may not work on ranged weapons, magic etc
perhaps I'm missing something here (I'm notoriously incompetent when it comes to managing minecraft mods), but my NEI recipes seem to be out of date and I can't figure out why. Specifically: the energy crystal/energium dust recipes aren't working properly.
I've tried updating NEI/NEI plugin and copying sere's config file, but I'm still unable to see the proper recipe (I do remember someone complaining about the increased cost, so I'm assuming that's the issue here)
Thermal Expansion is now in Open BETA. This will last a week or so - we meant it when we said 11/22 was the release date.
Issues will probably crop up, and we're sorry for that. Please report them on our Issue Tracker.
In theory, the mod is Block-ID and Item-ID stable. That is to say, the configs should not change with the 3.0.0.0 release. Other configuration options may, however.
As usual, CoFHCore and Forge are required along with MC 1.6.4+.
Downloads have been moved to CurseForge.
I really hope you read all of that. I know this is why you're here:
Donations:
Really really like our mods and want to donate? Cool, we appreciate it. We'll tell you up front that this will go towards beer, code, and art, probably in that order and maybe even in the same night:
Note: b2 is stable enough that we're going to drop downloads for b0 and b1. There's no need for them.
As of 8:09AM EST Friday, the server console is being spammed with [STDOUT] A4.
At the time, those on were Aixler, Obsidian, and Lilija. Did any of you do anything during that period that could be related to this?
I'm also getting "bad login" every time I try to access the server.
--
Short version is I have the server offline. It seems to still work despite the A4 spam since people were on during that, but I don't know what's causing it. I can remove the spam by reverting to the backup from 6 minutes prior to when it started, but that still doesn't let me log in (something is just broken, probably on Mojang's end since I did a clean install and tried roommates account).
--
I have server up w/ no rollback (OK, like a few minutes but nobody was on during that time anyway). My bad login error is a MSE problem or not. Seems to be a MC-end issue with 1.6.X. (server spam is separate issue, definitely related to something done at 8:09am), so I'm logged in and server is running OK. Trying to debug the issue, but since it's probably in one of your two bases, I dunno.
#minecrafthelp irc said: welcome to #minecrafthelp. 1.6.4 clients are currently getting Failed: Bad Login error when trying to log into 1.6.4 multiplayer servers. Please wait patiently as Mojang fixes the issue.
