I don't feel safe in the hands of 3FFA as my Trainer. :3

P.S. seeing how I'm not the only "never-played-beyond-Gen-2" kind of people here, might be useful if you draw more parallels or insert short explanations here and then. Cheers! Good call. I'll be sure to do this more as I find appropriate times to do so.

Yeah.. now what to name patrat?
|
NinjaPatty like i did, obviously. Although he died...to a caterpie...Going to start again later and not fail this time :-|
Happy birthday archas, have a great time + Show Spoiler +playing pokemanz at the beach like i did when i went to spain when i was 9.

This is an interesting review I just found. Thank goodness that I don't care about box names... the holding L when choosing a move to see the stats is pretty cool.
Might name patrat Dust14

Welp, I just died on the fourth gym using the same rules as this run. The amount of coverage moves gym leaders have is crazy, and a lot of them being doubles battles seriously complicates things. Them having competitive movesets against my shitty in-game ones is unfair

Lol archas just started everyone doing volt white nuzlocke runs, we're all going to spoil it before he updates

Double battles are incredibly unforgiving, since both opponents can just straight-up kill one of your guys by teaming up. With singles, you have much more leeway. Not to say Elesa is an easy fight, but her team is more manageable and less likely to bullshit you out of a win.

HB Archas!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Archas!
I'm attempting a (non Nuzlocke) run where I try to keep all of my Pokemon within 3 levels of eachother. Right now I have a Pigeotto, Luxio, and Dewott all at lvl 23 and am about to hit the 2nd gym. Only battle I've ever lost a poke in was that goddamned Meowth in the first Bianca battle...I actually wiped due to 3 crits in 4 moves and 2 flinches off Bite.
|
Yeah, Pokemon like Pidove, Meowth, Absol, and Beedrill are really scary in Nuzlocke runs because their abilities can increase the frequency/damage of critical hits.

Whoops, I meant the fifth. Fucking Sand Rush Swords Dance Excadrill. I'd probably lose to that non-Nuzlocke.

If you manage to find a Slowpoke with Drizzle or a Vulpix with Drought, though, Clay becomes much easier without his sandstorm to back him up.

Yeah, going into it (I read gym leader teams ahead of time like a little bitch) I figured that would be my only shot, but didn't manage to find either. All I had was Krookodile, who was OHKO'd while trying to Dig

All I had was Krookodile, who was OHKO'd while trying to Dig If I don't get a weather Pokemon by the time I reach Clay, my plan is to buy the Reflect TM from Nimbasa and try and tank Excadrill's damage after it's been halved by Reflect. Excadrill is certainly the most troublesome Pokemon on Clay's team, so you really need some way to lessen its capacity to wreck your whole team. Weather and Reflect are the two best ways to do that.
Really, the thing about Excadrill is that it's not all that hard to kill, but unless you have a specific plan to deal with it, it's very difficult to kill it without losing some Pokemon of your own.

Krookodile? Really? That's what they came up with for a pokemon name? >.>
patrat is now named Dust14

There are plenty of shitty Pokemon names in all generations.
|
At least those aren't names used for animals... which are what pokemon are. Imo the Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam is cool and fun to kids thus it works quite well. Golem I consider to be an ok name... but Krookodile is just stupid.

Omg... that place where your Mom stops you to give you a new pair of shoes has the most gigantic boulder I've ever seen on a DS screen. Maybe if I catch a Machop and train it....
