I think the opposite way personally. If you rerolled for a specific leader then you should already have a plan on what farmables there are for said team. Then you know exactly what evo materials you're going to need for your team and can focus on targeting specific godfests for REM subs to make that team even better.
If you started out with salamander like I did then you have no idea what sort of team you're going to be playing two weeks in the future so saving materials is useful. Sure you aren't going to be able to roll as many times if you spend on box space, but you also aren't going to pull your whole team in one godfest. There aren't many teams that have multiple subs in the same godfest so dumping all your stones on one godfest isn't actually that fruitful if you think about it.
With players choice godfest right around the corner this makes less sense though as you probably can just roll a whole team.

Well I'm certainly your nemesis then. I used my first 50 stones on box space. I probably had more box space than you by rank 50...

it's two styles of thinking really. the marginal decisionmaker vs the long term planner. in the long run it doesnt really matter but you are going to be faster in progression if you roll a bunch as early as possible. the rank/monster exp reward per time spent increases quite sharply once u get that first good farm team

You just started yesterday so all your stuff is super low level. You'll be able to do harder difficulties soon enough.
Also you can just add people as friends that have max level gods. They'll clear everything really easy early on. Lots of maxed out gods can heal you for like 600-700 hp with a single 3heart match. Others can heal you for 2k hp every turn if you match a single combo of any type.

My NA account stabilized at 900 box space. I now have about 300 empty spaces after selling alot of dupes. Still have a few in reserve but I still have a ton of mp.
People can play as they want but I think you'll find generally more pleasure in the game when you aren't ham strung by a shit leader. Good leader leads to a focused team build and that doesn't require that much box space
Requires rolling though. This can be alleviated by rerolls at the start but not many new people even know to do this. Hell I started with Gryph Rider so rolling in the beginning over box space was necessary. If I had started with Bastet or something I probably would have focused very differently. It wasn't until the second godfest that i pulled my first decent lead in Light Metatron who just so happened to be excellent at most of the starting dungeons and all of the high level evo fodder dungeons with a completely farmable team.
Before I rolled l meta life was hard. Useless ass Gronia

Thanks for the help, everyone!

Thanks for the help, everyone! there are some leaders who have rcv multipliers in their leader skill (the main useful one for newbies being the sonias with their 2.5x atk 2.5x rcv unconditional leader skill)
you can check out the reddit reroll guide for a general idea of whats good whats got potential whats difficult whats easy etc.

To add to the leader roll discussion:
combo/color match leads are harder in the beginning because you generally have few time extend awakenings and board/orb changers. however, they do force you to improve faster and most of them are among the best leads in the game.
conditional multiplier leads are easier at first but generally peak earlier unless you have maxed out ideal sub cards.

Welcome new kids!
Question for my own US acct currently - Some of you have me in your friend lists. I currently mainly run a Lkali and a G/D Bastet. Which one do you think I should focus on?
I also have a Ra, but nothing else that would warrant me to focus on kali currently. (Her team atm is pretty stable though, with chocobo/ Angelit / Devilit as standard subs. plenty of kali actives to keep her going through many dungeons.
As for the green side of things - My only decent green sub is Sasuke. and to a lesser extent thumbelina.
I guess I should wait for PCGF and see what subs do I get, but that will be in quite a while, so I'd want to farm some plusses meanwhile, and get overall levels for whichever lead I end up running. At the very end I'll probably end up running both A.Ra and Firecat, but which is better to start off with? I'm in normals up to Hyperion lava flow atm.. Managed to clear One-shot challenge up to level 5. (Died in level 5 to Hera, while running G/D Bastet. She didn't die even with 12 combo and 1 TPA and 2 3-green matches .. )

ya definitely wait for pcgf to see if which leader has the better sub pool after you go ham on the REM. but if you are trying to decide who to feed plus eggs to kali is pretty much always a solid choice

bastet is the far more flexible team sub wise so i'd build it first.

I am curious, because PCGF seems to be impending event everyone seems to know about but won't specify - does it usually take place at December 1st, or do they mean New Year's Eve by soon?
|
Just opened up some friend space so I'll add my ID in as well for any new (or old) folks looking to fill out their friends lists: 346,603,360.
I mostly run Awoken Bastet or Verd leads at the moment, but I'm working on building up for a starting Awoken Sakuya team once she hits. I've got most of the subs for her dark-based team (DKali, Yomi, Diza), just need to figure out a fourth and then get everything evo'd.

Link to previous godfests schedule
As you can see, the date of the event hasn't been consistent. It will almost definitely happen by new year, but whether that is the beginning of December or later on is just speculation.
There will be polls to choose before obviously so it isn't just going to pop out of air like the other godfests do.
