Anyways, my first spawn into the game I sprinted through a town and died in 10 minutes b/c zombies. Lol. It's reminiscent of the mod but looks a lot nicer. Yep, spawns are random. I spawned about 3 miles away from Cherno this time. I stopped playing whenever I got to the outskirts of the town. I'm just going to wait until the server is daytime before I log back on.
I found a lot (A LOT) of different clothing and apparel items as loot. Baseball caps, beanies, designer sunglasses, hoodies, raincoats, camo vests, motorcycle helmets, and even masks. There was also a lot of different melee weapons that I found (wrenches, shovels, axes, crowbars, and my favorite the fire extinguisher).
Whenever you attack zombies with a melee weapon it doesn't produce any sounds. However, when you hit certain materials and walls it makes a bullet sound, so I assume that it is still the same melee system as it was in the mod except I think it's more smooth.
There are a lot of enterable buildings now, a lot more than there was in the mod. I've only ran into like 2 houses where I couldn't enter them. Despite the huge number of places to loot things, I'm really disappointed that I didn't manage to find a gun  not sure if I was just really unlucky or if guns are really rare at the moment.
I think the inventory system right now is a big improvement on how it was in the mod. It's simple drag-and-drop but picking up items and executing actions like opening doors and such still requires you to use the middle wheel button on your mouse.
I had to turn the graphics to its lowest setting so that it could run smoothly on my laptop, and even then it still looked pretty nice and I had really good FPS throughout my play session.
$30 is kind of a lot for an Alpha but I think it's worth it, especially if you have friends to play it with.
I know I'm going to buy it later on in the future so I might as well buy it now, and it's not going to be sold any cheaper when it gets fully released.

I've spent the past hour running in the pitch black with both my brightness and gamma maxed. The moon went down and I lost all sense of direction. I somehow ended up in Novy Sobor from Starry Sobor while trying to reach the North West Airfield
I don't understand this game. I took several swigs out of my water and even drank a few pops and it still keeps spamming me to have a drink. I'll eat an entire can of tuna and 5 minutes later I'll be "starving". I'm now passed out and probably dead despite babying the living hell out of my hunger/thrist.

Which is the more accomplished for now in terms of crafting / tension / survival ? (i think they can be compared because all of them are alpha).
Correct me if i'm wrong but emphasis of titles are :
- DayZ => Tension / Survival
- Rust => Frag / Craft
- 7W2D => Crafting / Building
- Project Zomboid => Crafting / Defense
Am i right ?
