Been watching streams for an hour or so, seems decent but barely any zombies and theyre not even remotely fixed yet. Not sure why this wasn't made a bit of a priority tbh, very few people seem to care?

I asked if the game is stable or enjoyable. Your response is only buy the game if you follow the updates what kind of crap is that? Your answer to the question was not clear and was pretty irrelevant if you ask me.

$30 is just too much for this kind of indie alpha version game. I would likely pay it but my friends are cheap and poor so there is no point to buy it to play alone. :D
I'm a bit surprised they went with $30 to be honest.

First of all he started, second thing is that I gave him a pretty clear answer, don't buy it, it will be bad, it's right there.
There was nothing else to be said. There were literally less than 100 people playing it, they were under NDA and all the real info was in the form of 9h of rocket streams and some dev blogs... How is anyone qualified to answer him, but if you've followed stuff, you would know that. Anyways I am done, maybe someone else will be more helpful if you don't like it. Holy thread derailment.
As for how it is right now, from what I've seen the FPS is a bit better than in the mod. Right now there doesn't seem to be much if any loot spawning, and the 2 zombies that I have seen can't move.
edit: I just found that had that bound to my feet.

So I decided to watch some streams to get some information. After 2 years there is still no real melee system. When you punch you are actually shooting a bullet with 0 range. Same with the axe. That system would be okay I guess if they at least did not have the shooting sound animation and the bullet hit animation coming form your fists/axe.
So far this looks like a let down. Meaning it is not that far from the mod yet it costs another 30$.

If you watched Rocket's second to last stream, you'll listen to him explain why it isn't shooting bullets at zero range...sort of.
Edit: And yes, Rocket has stated himself that the game is indeed a "true" alpha, which means it's pretty rough.
So, wait and buy it later when things have improved, or buy it now and bitch about how it was a bad purchase. Your choice.

Did you mean to say why it is shooting bullets? Because it looks just like melee in dayz mod and that was bullets. You could even see the bullet hole when you swung the axe on the wall.
Seems to be a lot of people drinking the kool aid. This really looks like they needed more money to keep working on this game. Rust was in much better shape and only cost 20$. I will get alot of hate for this. So many people are just rushing to buy the game because of all the hype. The whole warning that the game is in alpha does not cut it. To me this is just unethical business.

I was expecting the game to be $10-15, because that's what a lot of people said. I will wait around till steam's xmas sales to pick it up, maybe only save 1-3 dollars, but it's worth it. Dayz got better graphics and realism, plus I believe in the dev.

Anyways, my first spawn into the game I sprinted through a town and died in 10 minutes b/c zombies. Lol.
It's reminiscent of the mod but looks a lot nicer. I'm going to start play #2 after I grab some food. Hopefully I'll respawn in cherno or somewhere nice :3

So far I've found a crowbar, a bat, some shotgun shells, a rotten kiwi that magically turned fresh when I ate it, and a baseball cap. No zombies. Figuring out how to use the flashlight was fun. I think Rocket&co are on the right track, can't wait to see the game when it finally has zombies and more loot (right now almost every building has little to no loot in it).
