don't worry, it's not food money, and even if the ebay thing fails, I know my share of gamers, and if even that fails, my godchild will be happy about it
and thinking about it, it would probably be even cheaper to order in bulk for Germans, as the whole package should just get 13 dollars slapped on top once, not for every core game included. And a parcel within germany should be less than that, or people close by could just pick it up themselves.

Well, yes, but sorry to say that, i won't send anyone 100$ up front based on what they say in a forum. Which is how this would have to be solved reasonably. But as i posted before, if that guy is correct i would just need someone to pledge 1$ for me.

If you do a bank transfer, you can take it back via roughly three clicks in your online banking, should I decide not to transfer the goods. So the good faith would be on my part, not on yours. But I do have your adress, if I sent the parcel off!
edit: going to bed now, let me know if you want me to order one extra copy for you via pm. If it helps in any way, I could probably get one of the mods here to vouch for me.

Just backed it, thanks for the thread I guess.
I don't even play tabletop games, but I'm a sucker for minis

I'm not sure if pledging $1 and then being able to use paypay is correct or not, I would recommend trying to contact MERC miniatures directly to confirm. I read some one else say that there is a minimum amount that is required to be pledged in order to have access to the pledge manager after it ends. But that is from an unofficial source as well. I tried asking on the kickstarter comments section and someone replied that there will be a paypal option AFTER the kickstarter ends, but they didn't say if that option will just be to buy the game retail, or if that will also qualify for the stretch goals, and they were not an official source either. And so many people are posting so fast that the question will probably get lost in the flood.
Other option would be to find a real life friend or relative who has a credit card and pay them up front to buy it for you.
I did find this from the Kickstarter FAQ
Can I pay with a check? Send cash by mail?
Sorry, Kickstarter only supports credit card payments.
Can I pledge with Paypal?
We support most major credit cards, but we do not support payment with Paypal at this time.
That being said I know other kickstarter projects like Project Eternity have had separate paypal options, but it seems up to each company running a kickstarter to set that up or not separate from the kickstarter project.
Total is up to $645k now and growing with 13 hours left, and 700k+ looks fairly realistic, though I will be surprised if it reaches 800k. Still I was going to be happy with the stretch goals from $275k so everything is gravy at this point. Still deciding on what add ons I want though, if any. The Spriggan (druid) hero, Skald (bard) hero, agents of darkness, elemental boss, treasure deck expansion and quest deck expansion are what I am considering, but not sure how much I want to spend on add ons before I play the game and the value for the addons is considerably less than the value of the captain or apprentice level pledges with stretch goal bonuses.
Edit: 650k just reached and torchbearer ally unlocked.

Yes, i also saw that stuff.
I just don't understand that. Don't they want my money? Half the world doesn't have credit cards, why make stuff uselessly complicated for no reason whatsoever. Or is it that complicated to implement paypal in your payment options?
And the 1$ thing is probably bullshit if i understand what you wrote correctly. Meh. Why does stuff have to be complicated when it could be so easy? I have the money, they want the money, they have the product. I have a payment method that works for stuff in my country, and one that works on the internet. I can even easily buy stuff off of amazon.de, and they are using some amazon payment for this. Yet i still can't spend my money on this. This is incredibly annoying. If you do anything online, try to allow as many payment methods as possible. This should be pure common sense.

Yeah I understand your frustration, and don't know why they haven't implemented pay pal yet. Seems like a logical thing to do. If I find an official answer I will let you know, but contacting them directly would probably be your best bet as I'm sure someone else must have asked the question but it's not in their Myth FAQ
I did get another non-official response from another backer on the Myth Kickstarter comments page
I don't think that Mercs has set a minimum pledge to get into the pledge manager after the campaign. As for what the pledge manager will use once it is released again nothing concrete just the assumption of paypal. You probably want to send Mercs a message via the contact me link. Its that or have your friends friend pledge the full amount on the card and have your friend send the other person the money via paypal.
I also tried to ask if you could buy a VISA or some other accepted credit card gift card and use that to pay, and someone said yes, but no official answer there either. In the US you can get them at grocery stores, drug stores, walmart and various other retailers.
MERC has been great with communication over the process of the kickstarter, but I'm sure they are getting flooded with questions at the deadline.
|
Apparently the only thing i had to do was ask them on kickstarter, and now i should be able to get added to that mysterious post-pledge manager where you can pay using paypal after the kickstarter ends.

cool glad they got you sorted out. Pledges up to $691,536 and climbing with 11 hours to go. Looks like the 700k Cyclops boss is likely to be reached now
+ Show Spoiler +
Edit: 701k reached with 10 hours to go unlocking Cyclops boss.

I could not really make up my mind what level to pledge and was thus watching the ratio of backers. For most of the time captain/apprentice was 2/1, in the last 12 hours or so it has totally shifted towards captain, now almost at 3/1.

Why did it shift towards captain? You still get more at the apprentice lvl
|
my guess is that captain is closer to the sweet spot for running double lairs (it has enough, only missing a handful of rats and something else, while apprentice has too many), and the 50$ extra give you some nice optional purchases.

I think they'll be needing more stretch goals. Looks like we'll reach 800k within the next hour, leaving 4 hours to go edit: Thats 800k with 3 hours to go
|
Nice board game. It looks like playing poker. Haha...

I think lots of people decided to get two captain levels for double stretch goal rewards, which ends up being a lot more stuff than apprentice.
I'm pretty surprised they hit 800k overnight with time to spare.
They also added the option to buy the Slaughterfield supplement which they explain as follows:
"And they sang as they slew, for the joy of battle was upon them." - Tolkien, The Ride of the Rohirrim
Our last update (maybe, we promise), is the Slaughterfield Supplement Pack. It contains three separate Slaughterfield Decks. These decks can only be used with the Slaughterfield game mode.
The first deck is a 10 card Random Spawn Generator. This allows you to have a completely random game every time. Each session of Slaughterfield consists of 10 waves of terror. The Heroes task is only to survive as long as they can and take as many of them with you as possible. Traps can be turned against the Darkness, but to separate from the rest of the group is certain death.
The second deck is a 15 card Slaughterfield Items deck. These items can only be used in Slaughterfield, but every treasure pick-up is guaranteed to be a good one. This deck greatly increases the survivability past Wave 5.
The third deck is a 15 card Slaughterfield Achievement Deck. This deck contains tasks for the Heroes. These tasks are dealt randomly to each player and are kept secret until turned in for a reward or at the end to supplement victory points awarded for kills and waves survived.
Let the slaughter begin.

I want a drake boss! gogo!
|
Yep that would be sweet. @ $837k and rising with 2 hours to go.
|
I wish they'd had just one additional hour to go. I think the remaining 1 and a half wont be enough for the last unlock
|
Could be, but I didn't think they would go up a $100k while I was sleeping either when they hit $700k last night @ around 11 pm. Hopefully a lot of last minute backers jump in and some people add some extra stuff to their pledge. I added another captain to sell, or worse case give as a gift later.
Edit: @ $877k with an hour to go now.
