My gear is shit but I'm a healer and I have the luxury of grouping with well-geared and competent players. RIP silver runs. I never knew you but apparently a lot of people really hated you! Oh I assumed you were already raiding and all after you made that comment about us and Kuralak, heh. :D Ah no, all from beta. I just bought the game last week. I was gonna do progression raiding with Voodoo, and I attended every beta raid, but I decided not to commit the time for progression raiding at release. I'll probably hop in an alt raid of GA or something once I'm attuned.
Now I want to raid with Voodoo! Just to say i raided with Nony

Nah, I am (was) playing on Progenitor, german PVP server since my friends went there.

Not really surprising if it's dead then, especially after they gave free transfers to hazak and other servers from it

My guild is now the only guild left on Archon. Quite literally. On the dominion side there's a group of friends called 'Rowsdowers' who log on every other week and do some dailies together. On Exile there's a group of 6-7 Belgians who are IRL friends and have a tiny guild called 'Size matters', they also log in very infrequently to hang out together.
And then there's us, that's it
It's nice in some ways, but it's starting to cause some rune fragment issues. After the attunement changes lots of people are runing up for raids and we've run out of Intricate and Augmented fragments.
It's awesome for farming eldan signs though, I never have competition at my farming spots.
Mega servers will be a massive change for sure.

Today and the next week or so will be pretty eventful, we're merging into Immortalis Noctis (and losing a ton of people.. RIP)
Eugenic is clearly #1 europe, aside from that OSS is recruiting a few more very specific classes and doing 40 man i think, there's one exile guild up there; these guys might even quality for top 5 which sounds pretty nice

My guild (and the other guild we're raiding with) are finally moving over. We were literally the last people on Contagion (one other lvl 50 dominion guy who didn't want to raid/join, no 50's left on exile at all.) We've been running GA ok-ish with 20-24-ish attuned members, but trying to do kuralak with 19/18 people every other raid, and the COMPLETELY dead commodity exchange just got too annoying

x89 stands out as being waay easier than kuralak, phagemaw and prototypes IMO, i can't really accurately judge those last three in difficulty

Trying to beat the dps check with 18 people, several of whom are very undergeared (equivalent of esper/ss at <2.4k ap) is no fun

Crafted gear alone should bring an Esper up to 3k AP.

Not sure what to think about AP stacking.
As a stalker I've stacked my AP through the roof using crafted gear, it's currently 2653 unbuffed which is pretty damn high if you don't have GA drops or PvP weapon. However as a result my Crit hit and Crit sev is low. (Strikethrough is not an issue for stalkers)
I don't know if I should swap out crafted gear for the epic drops from adventures. That's like 40 Brut less but I gain 50+ Moxie per piece and my crit hit/sev would rise a lot.
A guy in my guild has 100 AP less but he can match my DPS. I don't know if it's a rotation problem on my side or if it's the 2% CH and 2+% Crit sev that he has on me.
I've started using Wildstar Logs to see the parses and investigate

We use slightly different specs, and he has the 1800 pvp weapon proccing too, but I was surprised by how big a difference it made.

Well, that further confirms my concerns that going full crafted was a bad idea xD At least I've kept most of the purples that I was using before, so I can change back without too much trouble.
Once GA gear starts dropping it's no longer a problem, since it has more Brut than crafted AND lots of moxie ^^

Just check BIS lists.
The Impact proc on the 1800 pvp weapon and some of the crafted weapons adds literally ~150dps, even 200 sometimes on fights like phagemaw. It makes the PVP weapon better than the elder gem one for warriors even though it had shit stats in comparison

The kuralak DPS check seemed very easy compared to phagemaw one, at least with how we were doing the fight with 3 ground phases

I was hopeful throughout beta and willing to tolerate some roughness at release, but seeing the state that it's in this many months after release, doesn't look good. Sorry to be a downer in a thread full of people enjoying the game. I hope you all continue to enjoy the awesome upsides without letting the downsides bother you too much!

TBH i don't really expect to be here in a month or so, but maybe i will be if these guys are good. Best/worst case scenarios are very far apart and it could be pretty awesome (quickly getting more stable 20 man groups, 40 man minibosses etc) or end up terrible
I didn't sign up for "oh we want to be one of the best guilds in the world and we'll buy ability points for 50 plat on AH and if you're not a top performer, we'll rotate you out of progression raids" etc, and nor did most of Nosta AFAIK. If it comes down to raiding 1-2x a week for 3 hours and nothing else to do aside from that and there is no sign of improvement i will probably go and progress in WOD instead, when the time comes
Also having half of one class be inviable for 4 months after launch is unforgivable. I don't recall meeting a raiding warrior tank - ever. That and the engine devs not saying a word about performance (other than a few fixes like letting the game set a primary core that was not core 0, which only improved performance if you had random stuff on your system using your CPU before you launched the game)
If it was still Nosta, i'd be more likely to stay for longer, but this week i'm reset to raiding with 12 people that i don't know at all and 7 people that i have talked to but am not really particularly friends with, nobody really knows what is happening atm
Now I want to raid with Voodoo! Just to say i raided with Nony
They just quit raiding sadly

Voodoo gone.
That's a massive blow to the game imo. One of the competing progression guilds straight up leaving.

I am pretty upset that Voodoo is gone , It was way fun. but they all bring up really good issues. they bring up the CA nerf as well in them leaving, along with the change to a boss, it kinda blows. We feel it too, but I really like this game. But CRB needs to pick up there shit if they want it to continue.

I think they have a lot of good points (particularly with Carbine stating that they don't think certain content in DS is currently killable, but they were not nerfing it because of gear changes in drop 3 even though it was month away, significant amounts of content in DS being changed/buffed to being unkillable on live and progress being regressed and frozen)
GA was very fun so far aside from game breaking bugs like the 1-2 dozen wipes on Kuralak i've personally had because of game freezes and disconnects - but i have not heard good things about 40 man from ANY guild, so i'm not enthusiastic to skip over the good content into the alpha test level stuff.
I don't particularly want the gear for anything else either; mobs outside of raiding are undertuned to the point of being able to kill 5 of them simultaneously without taking damage or blowing major cooldowns and i'm not doing any other content that relies on it, so there is no gear incentive there.

I think the repeated mishandling of DS was the final straw. The rest of the game having problems doesn't help. The raid devs actively making decisions making the progression raiding experience worse is pretty disheartening. If it was just the fact that DS was insufficiently tested, then that's fine. But it seems to be ongoing mistakes or at least a different philosophy than Voodoo expected. And thinking about the fact that it was still early in DS and the grinding that the next patch will introduce (extremely tight DPS checks + extremely grindy process for optimizing gear) could only make it worse...
Hopefully Enigma sticks it out and blazes a trail for everyone else. I imagine if they stick through this part, then as they make a little more progress, Avatus will be too tempting and they'll have to finish, even if they plan to quit the moment he dies haha.
