Update: EU-Hazak no longer has a guild but is using a Circle instead to keep our community together. PM Nyraena for an invite. Remember to deactivate your Invite Filter in your Interface settings.
We should probably take this out, since i'm the only person left in the circle t;t
so many people quit in the last week, it's hard to keep track
40 people confirmed for raid in ~19 hrs, looks good. There is no big shortage of manpower here, aside from i guess people not wanting to mainspec tank/healer because of the relative lack of need for them, and DPS on the other hand being pretty expendable because there's 15 other dudes who can do your job unless you are exceptional at it

Firebolt quit?

Does anyone have any idea when drop 3 might be coming?
The comment from the end of the "update overhaul" post they made yesterday is kind of worrying :s
as we transition the PTR back to "The Defile" drop for testing in the coming weeks.
If they're taking off for "the coming weeks" then putting it back on for more testing, that implies that the very best possible scenario is 3-4 weeks (1.5-2 weeks for it to get back on, and 1.5-2 more weeks for testing) and it could very easily go a lot longer then that.
Was kind of hoping to get it near end of september/start of october, it's really been a long time since I've had something new do to outside of raiding

It was going to be a week or two from now, but "when it's ready"

Yep, I quit last week due to simply not having enough time to commit to raiding.

First 3 hour raid, one group 3/6, other group 2/6 (but we had some problems, delays and no bench)
not bad IMO

How often do you guys raid?

How do you feel about joining a bigger/more progressed guild and suddenly speeding through progression Cyro?
I could leave Archon, join some guild on Ascendancy that is recruiting for DS, and storm through GA. But I think I prefer struggling through at our own pace with my current guild (closing in on 3/6). It feels more rewarding when we finally take a boss down, I think. I'm also not in a hurry to get attuned for DS in its current state.
Just curious if you had similar thoughts or remarks.

4 times a week

I still have not killed any boss without wiping on it at least like 30-40 or so times (aside from x89) and these guys are less organized with strategy etc than nosta was, we're still wiping repetitively on x89, kuralak, phagemaw, prototypes especially with groups changing around and getting set. I don't feel like i'm skipping much.
With half of our raid not having killed prototypes and no chance of killing convergence without dozens of wipes, ya free ohmna carry. I'm just hoping to get 5/6 two resets after 4/6 (so next week), and then 6/6 two resets later maybe. That ohmna kill won't really mean anything unless i either get a weapon drop somehow, or we're actually moving into datascape and getting loot from minibosses?
It's not exactly progressing start to finish with one set of people, but it's far from lightning fast or easy progression either. I've joined a WoW guild and instantly skipped over to doing most bosses on heroic, but this definitely isn't that, i don't know if there's any guild out there who can laugh through GA with two raid groups. The progression is not faster than if we had just kept raiding with Nosta, so far.

FX / Phenom II users be so mad at dat fps
AMD users hate her!
etcetc
Meanwhile, Eugenic killed the "unkillable" Gloomclaw, world first post-buff

Yeah wish I could see Plastic's reaction when he found out.
And that's weird to hear. I was under the impression you had 50% of your raid group using convergence weapons now, how could you possibly still wipe on X-89 with those? I didn't mean anything bad with my question btw, it's just a genuine concern I have about switching servers and joining a big guild, I think it would make the progression meaningless for me. Of course it's very different if you do it as a guild and there's 10 buddies who did the same thing in your group. That actually sounds pretty nice.

They are generally less organized for the little things but they had a ton more damage/healing in group. While we killed phage in nosta with boss at ~47% going into third phase, they're capable of getting to 20 and killing him in the MOO
there are not really 40 people 6/6 ready, there's 20 people who have done 6/6 -once- and a bunch of others who have killed 3/6, some who are only 2/6 thrown into 2 groups, they are kinda different in their approach to several bosses too with "just do stuff" attitude on stuff like where to put x89 bombs, which direction to dodge spew, calling for people to stack or not stack, when boss phases or abilities are, where to stand with kuralak eggs, which pillars to go to etc. That stuff isn't really discussed at all, whereas it was in nosta (a lot, maybe even over the top for some stuff) and it helps a lot of people who are not 1000% sure of the fight, there is less room for stupid mistakes and a lot less room for any miscommunication then

I wonder what the story behind the gloomclaw kill is. He wasn't supposed to be killed until the drop 3 buffs, so now that Eugenic broke that schedule, is Carbine gonna do what they've done before and buff him? So that Eugenic regresses and Enigma doesn't get a competitive chance to match Eugenic's accomplishment? And how did Eugenic do it anyway? It wasn't absolutely impossible to defeat, but Enigma is equipped and is trying to do it and hasn't succeeded, while Eugenic has always unapologetically abused every single bug and exploit they can get their hands on, even to the point of being counterproductive beta testers for the sake of beta progression (lol), so did they "cheat"? But I'm sure either TT or Tyrius saw some of their attempts, if not the one that was successful, so they would have seen any abuse. Did they allow it, not notice it, or was it actually completely legit? Did something about the fight bug for them with their raid comp or strat that isn't bugging for other guilds, which has happened before (phage maw)? Did Carbine's judgment of the difficulty of the fight take into account commonly used and allowed bugs and exploits, or was it based on calculated metrics that aren't accurate for the live server and real players? Is that why Carbine says impossible while Enigma, Eugenic and Voodoo said possible but really really hard?
At the very least, I hope Carbine learns something from Voodoo quitting and doesn't change anything if it was a legit kill, so Enigma has a chance to match before drop 3. And if it wasn't, then imo Carbine should be the one making a statement. If they're gonna act like referees in the progression competition, they should do it properly.

Quoting Spythe from Enigma:
"We didn't get many attempts on Gloomclaw but it was clearly doable which Eugenic has now proven."
