i think for tanks, they have to be able to survive at least 5 seconds solo against the mobs, otherwise they will have trouble finding a healer that can do it.

I think it's pretty clear that nvidia GPU has a large advantage in cpu bound situations in wildstar right now (which may or may not be fixed in the near to far future) due to the significantly more efficient directx driver and i'd love to put a number on that, but probably nobody wants to spend half an hour taking super detailed benchmarks. I'm pretty comfortable saying like 1.4x FPS in a bunch of places, using an Nvidia GPU + driver instead of Radeon. I saw a lot of people quoting poor performance for this game on desktops, and this is extremely likely one or the biggest reasons why - i saw nobody with 2'nd-4'th generation Core CPU's and Nvidia GPU's of appropriate power for their settings having trouble with the games normal performance levels. Also, nobody should buy an FX CPU for playing MMO or RTS games in general. This is just another one added to the list. I'l stick with what i said - i3 + ~750ti, upgrading towards overclockable i5 and 760-780ti. For a cheaper build, one could use a dual core Pentium, maybe the new unlocked one, with a 750 - but i wouldn't stray to any other parts, after having seen and read what i've seen and read relating to the game and performance. There's obviously some stuff like particle effects that occasionally do this to your FPS: ![]() But those can be target fixed quite easily. I don't view them as a massive problem with the performance of the game, because it's something relatively simple and Carbine won't let it have a significant impact on gameplay without taking action

if its stable, i can also OC my GPU by 30% because i bought the saphire model with 3 coolers. I still stand by my opinion that if you cant run a raid at a comfortable 60 fps with PCs that have an over 300 euro GPU and a solid intel chip at over 4 ghz, the developers messed up with the MMO engine. And its not like this game has 2015 super nextgen graphics. Our Fps werent even with shadows enabled.

You can't run a 40 man raid in WoW or even a 25 man raid with comfortable 60fps, and the wildstar engine is a bit more complex. It's not about the GPU or about how graphically intensive the game is, it's about the stuff under the hood and FPS relating to CPU strength Like i said though it's not particularly the games fault. FX CPU's have very poor singlethreaded performance, and AMD's directx driver is just very bad. They need a new API to work with AND/OR for AMD to update their driver. There's nothing else that they can do on their side, short of making the game even lighter on CPU somehow. It's not their fault if somebody using nvidia graphics driver has 1.5x as much FPS as somebody with radeon driver, and you can't blame them for it. How did you OC to 4.4ghz? I said i'd talk you through it etc because it's somewhat complex to do properly and using auto settings on everything with adaptive core voltage is probably a bad idea Don't feel bad btw, your performance is great - just not in this type of case right now (some CPU bound directx games) which kinda sucks. OC GPU wouldn't help it

if i crash, i come crawling back. My temps are under 60, so i dont really care what adaptive does with the vcore.

well, i use auto on everything and adaptive :p Yea that's really terrible overclocking practice. You shouldn't do that. Best case scenario you have a suboptimal overclock, worst case you fry stuff and have to pay like 250 euros. Is it really worth saving a few hours on something you'll probably use for 2-4 years? My temps are under 60, so i dont really care what adaptive does with the vcore. You said you hit 60 in Wildstar, which is really bad @4ghz. you have no idea how uncomfortable it makes me seeing somebody do that to their hardware o.0

I've been hearing that intel + nividia is where its at. Mostly beacuse of Nividias magic patch they released not that long ago that did insane stuff for cpu intensive performance. AMD just hasn't released their own patch yet. Also I hear that the watchdogs patch did a lot for wildstar improvement indirectly. I keep getting warrior dps gear in vet adventures. Don't get me wrong I'm ridiculously excited because its great for pvp and I've never seen so many rune slots open (4 out of 10 of my gear has 3+ slots the rest have 2) my tanking gear is still the best crafting can get you and has proven very good for starting out.

AMD just hasn't released their own patch yet. Nvidia's driver was already faster, before. AMD focused a lot on getting performance out of Mantle, while nvidia did the DX thing as a kind of response - unfortunately for the consumer, that means that AMD has slightly better performance in Mantle games (battlefield 4 is the only multiplayer one, right now) while Nvidia has way better performance (like 1.3x+) in a big list of games including Wildstar. The whole API thing is a massive mess right now and it probably will be for another year or two

That's not really feasible unless they're super itemized compared to the level of the instance you're doing. Sure I've had plenty of tanks who can basically go through the majority of vet whitevale without even needing healing, but there will always be multiple sections of dungeons/instances where you just literally need to be glued to your tank to keep them alive. On spellslinger the easiest way I've found to spam health onto someone who's getting rekt is just laying down voidspring and healing salve before hand and spamming C1 vitality burst on them, as that has a 0s cd if you make sure not to let it charge. Then try and hit a spellsurged healing wave right before healing salve/voidspring run out, and use the absorb+large heal to buy time for yourself to drop another voidspring/healing salve. Also throw on affinity on cd ofc. If a dps starts getting low just throw out a spellsurged healing wave earlier then normal, and if the tank is really struggling just try and angle it so it hits the dps through the tank. It burns through focus like crazy, but you can keep almost anyone alive with that :p

Just extract the addons to your addons folder (in appdata). For people born in the 90s :p ... Download the addon, which will be an archive file. Cut and paste (move) the file to your C:\Users\********\AppData\Roaming\NCSOFT\WildStar\addons folder. Right click the archive and choose extract here. If your game is running you will need to do a /reloadui in game. As for recommendations: Bijiplates Currency Count Icon Loot Potato UI
