Yeah I don't want that shitty bloatware on my computer.

Junkit is a MUST makes selling the junk really fast.
Galaxy meter is great for raiding but you don't really need it before then
tapthat is something you'll enjoy a lot.
Minimap square is my preferred minimap because I prefer a square over a circle (even if it updates in a circle)
http://www.curse.com/ws-addons/wildstar/221305-protostar-multifunction-tool Very little known but I love this one takes a time or two to get aclimated to it but Its amazing for the people who have 2 gathering professions.
I would recommend useing the curse website to download the addons but the client has given me nothing but problems.

Was hoping there was an easier way of selling all my junk. Almost instantly starte dmissing elvUI from WoW. Thanks mate!

I personally have had absolutely zero issues with the Curse client and have found it to be very fast and responsive without bugs. I suppose YMMV.
My addons:
AMP Finder - tells you where to buy each AMPs, very useful to save hunting them down. Ayth_Quest - questing is even more brainless now. BetterQuestLog - I don't remember what the quest log even looked like before this but it looks pretty clean now. CustomFoV - I personally am not very FoV sensitive but whatever, why not. Galaxy Library - lists out loot in each dungeon etc. Just planning ahead for when I'm 50 and starting to look for specific loot. GalaxyMeter - DPS/healing meter. Doesn't offer much when leveling but comparing damage output of different spells helped me decide where to allocate my points. Obvious benefits once you're raiding. Grid - very useful especially if healing. Not as obviously useful as in WoW since there are very few targeted spells but it makes up for that by having an arrow pointing you in the direction of where that person is relative to you, so you can easily look out for that guy with 20% hp. GroupRadar - tells you where party members are relative to you. Useful in instances to make sure everyone is present, among other things. IconLoot - gets rid of the extremely annoying 'vacuum loot' box and presents the loot you pick up in a nicer manner. JunkIt - auto-sell junk. NexusPanel - little things like time-to-level, gold, repair costs, FPS, and ping. PotatoUI - cleaner and more obvious UI. Not as fancy as the default but does what I need it to do. ProcsHUD - keeps track of your procs. For Epser, notifies me when I have full combo points. Does different things for other classes. SpaceStash - redesigns your bags etc. TapThat - gets rid of all the minigames which got old quickly for me. Especially that memorisation puzzle, fuck that. TheZone - notifies you of other players, allied and enemy, around you. Useful for world PvP. I have it temporarily disabled atm as it gets overloaded and everyone (Dominion and Exile) works together atm for the sake of faster leveling, but I plan to reactivate it when I start properly world PvPing. ThreatMeter - useful once you start going to dungeons etc. TrackMaster - I only just installed this and need to experiment more with it before I decide whether to keep it or not. Basically points you in the direction of important things, such as quest objectives, your target, your focus target (immediately I'm thinking it's useful for PvP) and a bit more. WhisperAlert - because for some reason receiving a whisper message currently doesn't notify you at all so you end up missing it under the barrage of NPC and other chat. This addon plays a sound of your choosing whenever you receive a whisper.

Sweet merciful god where has this been in my life
|
the zone is pretty useful, it always tells me about that lvl 50 in my lvl 30 zone, so that i can scram.

To be honest I think having too many addons just makes everything less fun. Sure there are a few which are really useful for raiding/dungeons/adventures, I could never heal properly without bijiplates, but having 5+ addons just causes clutter and ruins the feel of the game imo. You end up playing some addon simulator rather then wildstar.
But for leveling it removes all the fun there is there, even if you find it kind of boring, having to just follow an arrow with another addon skipping EVERYTHING will make it totally mind numbing. At least try without them first since they're completely unneccesary.
I run bijiplates, threatmeter (which only appears when fighting with multiple peopel in a group), Galaxy meter (but that's mainly for ego boost/noticing if someone is useless), biji plates and that's it.

Putting this game on hold until I either get a new pc or AMD finally fixes the performance, I think the former is the more likely case.

I'm not a big fan of Curse either, so that doesn't help.
I was also wondering, when I'm using AMP early on as I level, does it matter that much where I put it? I haven't looked up any endgame builds yet, so I'm just putting them where I think they're good. I've searched for wildstar builds, but haven't found that much.

I've been coerced into playing recommended this game and given a guest pass. Just wondering though, how much progress can I make/how fun will it be if I only have maybe an hour to play each day.
Also, has anyone tried playing it with multiple monitors? A quick google search seems to indicate it works with some UI annoyances that can be fixed by an addon like potatogui. Hopefully it's as simple as that :D

I said to my cousin (age 21), if you can pull 10 hours a week or so (including weekends) then it's probably worth it. If you can't play that much, then you really need to look at what your goals are for playing stuff
multi-monitor would probably wreck graphics card, the game isn't a crysis 3 in terms of graphical demand but it's not graphically light either. You could get terrible framerates running game at 3x 1080p or 4k on a single gk104 (gtx680) or just run out of VRAM, like you'd expect from running 3x 1080p or 4k on newer games that don't have like lower graphics settings options. That's assuming the game has some kind of multi-monitor support which i've never seen, so no way that i would count on this one :D
edit: Game seems to have native support for multi-monitor resolutions and with how configurable the UI is, i guess that's not a bad option.

I've reset mine a bunch of times, it was basically free at lower level. Now that i'm getting into the 20's+ it costs a somewhat notable amount (like maybe a few to 5 minutes work), but before, it cost like a quarter of a percentage of my gold at one point, it could have been free and i wouldn't notice the difference

when are they going to fix the bug that causes" hold X the break stun" popup to stay on screen? It is infuriating in pvp
|
United Kingdom20321 Posts
I'm waiting for them to fix bug that prevents you from breaking half of your stuns if you have rebound Q, E, R, F etc. The keys near WASD are the obvious choices for rebinding important abilities yet this weird minigame stun break function will break and cause inconvenience or death if you rebind any of them

Yea that hurts. Right now i've got 70 gold in my bag and it costs like 1g-something, which is way way way way way more than it used to cost

One good thing about the fact the entire ui is built through addons, is that even though that button completely breaks the mail addon, that doesn't actually do anything except cause that addon to crash, and you can just restart it.
