For the gameplay I've seen the pvp seems fairly fast paced, which I quite like but all this different lights and shapes in the ground makes it feel like a bad-xmas-party :/. Anyone done pvp in general to give me a more indeph idea of how well this mechanic is faring?. | ||

Other than that I feel the Game is pretty solid. I would never ever play WoW again and was not impressed with TESO, but Wildstar could be a MMO I would play again. | ||

I can't say much about higher level (I've only reached level 15 and did a couple of group quests and an 'adventure') but from what I've heard about it only gets better at higher level. I genuinely hope this game will succeed but I'm afraid it's a little bit too obscure as I basically only heard about it from a friend while ESO was all over the net. | ||

Hated the telegraph in PvP. I've only leveled 2 classes (Medic 14 & Esper 18), so I don't know well enough to know what telegraphs from other classes even mean. All I know is "Don't Stand in Red Stuff" - which is rather silly since some red stuff barely tickles as I play a healer. I'd prefer to have clearer distinction on the telegraphs. There are so many style of abilities, such as center-to-outer radius detonation, clockwise swipe, front-to-back spell projection, cones etc etc.... but the telegraphs are just a messy pile of red on red on red on red. The minimap in battlegrounds is completely pointless - I guess that's a side effect from being used to Dota's minimap. You can open the big map, but that obstructs combat view; or ghost the map (semi-transparent overlay) but I haven't figured out how to resize or change opacity. The map markers are also bad. It's just a tiny green dots for allies, and tiny white dots for enemies. That doesn't fucking tell me who's holding the damn Moodie Mask, or where the holder is at, or where ANYTHING is apart from each base. Damn it. I miss Warsong Gulch.  | ||

I don't have enough time at the moment to verify if my key is Eu or Us, unfortunatly I'll have to do it after work. Edit2: After a couple of question/answers from the Wildstar costumer support, this was the conclusion: Hello XXXXXXX, After reviewing your account, I see you have purchased the European version of WildStar and created an EU WildStar account. Currently, only the NA region is available during beta events. The EU region should become available later on as the game launches. Should you have any other questions, please let us know. Regards, XXXXXXX WildStar Support Team Their team was really fast on providing me with information/help, in total I belive they send me 3 different guys. It took roughly 2 hours time for 4 replys from them, their replys were fast compared to mine that usually had intervals of 20-30mins between them. | ||

On principle I don't think PC games are services that are quite good enough to pay a monthly fee for. On the other hand I try to rationalise that 15$ (or euro?) is not all that much. 2/3 trips to a food stand or 1 dish at a restaurant... but then again after 3/4 months that's 45/60 euro and I could have gotten a whole new game for that >_>; ... and back to the other side, nowadays there really aren't many games that I care about. I buy maybe 2-3 a year. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU | ||

I have to position myself cautiously, use sprint at the right times and calculate my opponents movements because my skills have low range/aoe and are so fuckig expensive in Nano Suit power. Also they were able to make stealth usable in combat because its so easy get caught while stealthed because everything is aoe. I have played some sick sick bgs in this game, nailbiting finishes are very common. A long time since I had that much fun with MMOs. Other nice thing is from my time playing: people are very helpful in this game | ||

The telegraph system does seem like a tricky puzzle in pvp, since it seems hard to differentiate between different enemies effect cones... But maybe someone will find an elegant solution... Did anyone experience world pvp? Was the interaction between factions significant? | ||

I played during pvp week when they temporarily changed the server rules to pvp. There was a lot of fighting around the dailies and around the raid entrance. You have to right click an object in the open world to enter the raid zone so it's definitely possible to camp the entrance and keep others out. Raids on the opposing faction's cities weren't that great since I don't think much time and effort was put into making that fun. It was nice for the novelty but there are overpowered guards making a lot of areas off limits and so it ultimately fizzles out. I can't speak for how much world pvp happened sub-50, although the faction zones are separate for the early levels, so there isn't even much of a possibility of it until mid to late 20's. As for pvp battlegrounds being chaotic, it gets easier to understand what's going on with more experience. There are telegraphs that are ok to stand in or are kind of unavoidable. PvP is more about positioning in advance and predicting your enemy's moves, not so much about seeing a red telegraph and avoiding it. I think warplots (40v40) are gonna remain chaotic and pretty silly unless they incentivize splitting up your team quite a bit. All the warplots I played mostly consisted of 25+ people vs 25+ people, which wasn't much fun. On April 22 2014 17:43 Intact wrote: Addons for a castbar and decent healthbars are a must.
