Of the ones in the viewer's guide: Persona 4 Arena - FinestKO TTT2 - IEBattleGrounds2 SFxT - Karastorm Super Turbo - IEBattleGrounds Jyosua should be streaming the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear side tournaments. IEBattleGrounds2 is listed as running Soul Calibur 5 on Saturday.

First of all, it is not "match fixing", it is pot splitting. Two players agree to a pot split and the game no longer has any relevance. Pot splitting is legal in fighting game tournaments. The problem is, you agree to a pot split, but the TO still wants you to play the finals because of stream viewership. Now what? You can't force yourself to give a shit, so you just pick random teams and try to be entertaining, because otherwise you'll just be playing your main team half-assed, which IMO is even worse. For what it's worth, I feel the exact same way about SC2. A lot of the rules they have in place are simply asinine, forcing players to play "real games" when the result doesn't matter to them, and crying match fix if they don't play very well. The way splits/concessions should be handled, in every game, is to allow the agreement to take place (because you legally cannot stop it anyhow), but force the players to be upfront about it, and do not play out their match. Evo uses this rule and it should be adopted everywhere. Alternately, the players could start splitting 40/40 and playing for the last 20%, which is how it's sometimes handled in poker. That would be the best overall solution for the fans and players, but it's impossible to enforce, and still doesn't account for situations where one player wants to throw the match to allow their teammate to advance.

For example, if (emphasis on if) Fnatic reaches the final of TI3, I want them to give +9000% to win the final and I want them to win it honestly, rather than pot-splitting and getting 380k USD more than they would get by loosing in the final. Same principle applies to every game that I follow to some extent .

Do you always make a completely worthless post on TL whenever you want to debate whether somebody's sentence deserves a comma or not? @WindWolf: the problem is, it's not up to you to decide whether the players should care or not, it's up to the players. There is an argument against pot splitting when the players are salaried by the league, such as professional sports, because the league is paying them to put on a show for the fans. However, in Esports, this doesn't exist. Players play for prize money provided by tournaments. They are free to do whatever is in their best interests, and nobody (aside from maybe their team) can or should be allowed to force them to play when they don't want to.

I figure they feel it's better with a guaranteed decent ammount of money over all or nothing that comes from playing out the final
