I've been umming and aahing about it since release, not wanting to play a buggy mess, but i saw it going for 20 quid so i'm downloading it now. I'm actually really excited. The only thing I'm concerned about is regular huge patches to download. I'm running very low on SSD space so I hope its not 30GB every few months. Some of the files are probably deleted and replaced. I don't think it's growing with each patch. Just some buggy code/assets that get updated. Let us know after you get in and have some time put in. Just remember, it's pared down a lot from what we got at release. It's still fun/gorgeous, but not as much as it was at beginning (for me at least. Only had about 5% of the problems others had).

![]() Patch 1.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, consoles, and Stadia. Here's the list of changes for this update. Please note that the issues listed below did not affect all players. Gameplay Fixed an issue where after upgrading an item with a quest tag, the base version of said item wasn't removed from the inventory. Fixed an issue where weapon reload speed perks slowed down reload time. Corrected the height of the charged jump. Adjusted enemies' stealth detection speed dependent on game difficulty. V will no longer get stuck in falling animation when crashing a motorbike while also having "The Rock" perk. There's more but it is a small patch. Nothing too amazing that stood out to me.Source

Very first impressions: I really like it. I've not got the hang of anything yet, and as a tutorial, the first section doesn't really do its job that well, but I'm enjoying the way the story is being told. I was hella confused when I was trying to escape that food joint and I kept overheating. The tutorial tells you nothing so I had to bite the bullet and go online for answers, which I didn't really want to do with this game, preferring to explore and find everything out myself. I suppose playing it on hard mode didn't help, but it took over an hour to get out of that place lolol. But then, CDPR games aren't known for their efficient tutorials anyway. I'll come back and give a proper review after I've explored the open world a bit and had a chance to git gud.

Bought the corpo apartment and it's pretty nice. Going to buy the other 3 as well and play with the renovations when I get back into it. (Using the painting bug early on and getting 1mil+ of eddies is coming in handy lol). The two new weapons also shoot nicely. The vendors cycle wares, so I'm hoping to score some nice stuff later on. Will start a new playthrough today I think. Want to see what the new romance dialog options are.

On the other hand this game came out a year ago, was pretty decently playable at least 8 months ago when I played through it and was in sale a bunch of times. To boot I think I saw most of the game in ~80 hours so I presume that everyone who has an interest is either waiting for a very cheap sale or already played through it. I fire it up maybe twice a quarter (mostly to look at and listen to my car lol) and am considering uninstalling now that I need the space (200gb is quite a bit on my SSD). So I assume they'll release a paid content dlc somewhat soonish, because else I don't really see the point.

It's a good game and despite all the negative reactions it was a huge financial success for CDPR, even though they lost their status as one of the best studios. I also reinstalled it to play for a few hours. Still like it, but as I've already played through everything two times, I'm not gonna start a new save. I honestly don't know what people were expecting. Especially since it seems like they all played The Witcher at some point in time ( I haven't so I dunno). CP2077 was not a good launch. Granted. But they've been doing the best they can to get it to a point where it's a decent game. I'm on PC so I don't have all of the issues a lot of console players have. I got the free trial on PS5 and holy hell is it amazing. Haven't spotted a single bug/glitch but then again, I'M NOT LOOKING FOR THEM SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO BITCH ABOUT. I've gotten all of the apartments and that's dope. The two new cars and weapons are nice as well. Looking forward to more.

Its hard to get the genie back into the bottle when the marketing people start running wild. them waiting another year for it wasn't something their shareholders were going to understand no matter what they said.

That wasn't even the marketing team to be honest. The hype was all fan made. They dropped a couple trailers through the years showing progress and maybe some very early alpha/beta gameplay, but that was it. Fans grew this monster and don't want to admit they did it to themselves. I was hyped as well, not going to lie. But again, I'm not disappointed with the game in the same way others are. I was/am disappointed that they didn't add enough side quests/gigs so we had replay ability. I've done some general roaming since I went through the 2nd ending and I'm literally still finding new areas/things I didn't know before.

Can you extend the trial after the free playtime is over and keep your playthrough? By paying for it i mean.

Is there an article somewhere that lists the big changes since launch? I haven't been keeping up to date and I know a lot has changed.

If you pay for it, they said you can use your previous saved data and continue on. I'm probably going to get it as well one of these days. That dualsense controller takes the game to another level for me.

Patch Notes I don't know of any media coverage that has every little change noted. You can check the forums (I recommend against doing that) for a list others may have created.
