not sure since you get a wildcard in Void Rising or HoTV pack. I would recommend reinforcement pack too if you still need cards from the basic deck otherwise it's pointless imo.

He was talking about best value for gold which is without any doubt the reinforcements pack. And that's all the truer if he is a beginner - which I assumed he was since he was talking about buying Emilio's pack which isn't worth buying.
In my opinion, it's best to buy reinforcement as a beginner with gold and FW box with seals. Then HoV and VR (in that order) with gold to deblock the Altar.

Yep I started like 2 days ago. Just assumed the bigger price would be the best value for some reason, should have bothered reading the descriptions instead :D
Beat the campaign then went like 8 or 9 wins, 1 loss, in duels and unlocked the altar thing in the way.

it is the best value, in the sense that you cannot get Forgotten Wars cards with gold other than from Emilo packs.

Hit level 5 now and dayum 25 seals short for the 1.4k FW box. Just beat 4 more guys in a row for a stupid good start, my winrate atm is better against humans than vs the AI lol.

I wouldn't recommend getting the FW box for your first buy, the regular box contains a lot of useful base set cards you need to make any deck..

I would argue against it for the Herald of the Void box but not the base box. I think the cards are generally more useful in HoV and you still get 16 wildcards. Anything good that you need from the base set can be very easily crafted.
21 wildcards vs the better card quality in HoV.

Yeah, we all have our opinions on what to buy. But it's best if we only express simple advice otherwise it's very confusing for newbies.

When it comes to seals I know I would have liked to weighed my options.
Check out http://www.mmdoc.net/card_list/ for a card list that you can sort by expansion and determine which you would like the most.
