He has 2 ways of doing them, its chain casting and djinn catalyst, but yep, u have to purge the chain casting or blow the catalyst once hes out, or he can just literally, draw his whole deck, clean the board and otk u, tho idk, when i got manhandled by that deck, didnt felt that bad. But yea, i keep running into this guys that are like 1100 and next day or 2 1500 lol, also eff sanctuary >;(.

u got all cards from dhamiria fatties...damn there are so much epics in that deck :/
might try to build one similar but i am missing a lot but i got both epic spells at least.

I just bought Dhamiria for wildcards since i had no other inferno hero and it just happened to be the card i was missing for the achievement that gets you an emilio pack. Guess what i got in the pack. A Dhamiria...

I was holding off on buying Anael for that reason. It will suck if I open one in a pack and not be able to do anything with it. It would be nice if you could actually trade.
I'm out of tournament tickets now which sucks because I was using the Forgotten Wars boosters for wildcards more than for what was actually in them.

Hey guys, i started like a week ago. I just passed 1k ELO yesterday using inferno but it's been getting boring. I put together a random stronghold deck and it seems to be doing ok so far.. haha it has like no good cards in it.

I'm kinda indecisive on what to do next to build a deck that can do well in tournaments.. I have some decent necro cards but I'm lacking the wildcards to build up something like Adar. I'm probably closest to making the Dhamiria arbiter lock.. I guess things will depend on what I get in the next box I buy with seals in 7 levels or so.

It kinda gets boring to do the grinding, what i did was grind while i was watching LoL world's, and well, by level 25 if u have used all seals on FW boxes and uhh, havent spent much wildcards, u can get a t1 deck with like the 120 wildcards u should have, but yea, just play whetever bores u the less, ull eventually get there!!

Depends of the kind. I suppose you play either an atropos-banshee because the somewhat rush version no-brain Adar shouldn't suffer from otk that much unless you have a poor mulligan.
By OTK, do you mean Stronghold OTK like Shaar's OTK which is spell based or the Nergal which is fortune based ? Some new Academy can be used in OTK's as well but I don't know them very much.
In general, as Adar-Malik, you want to reach your atropos as soon as possible to be able to rez as many creature as you can and hit him hard all the time. OTK are elaborate coin-flips, much like playing mono-red in MTG if I can quote Day[9], so you will lose sometimes. Otherwise, if you play a fortune Adar, you can have cosmic realignment.

grinding from 0 is so silly, i got to 1k elo without any expansion unlocked in my altar of wishes so i have no access to OP epics, now i run into people who played earlier, they played enough to have the altar unlocked and obviously have all the epics in their deck, basically nothing i can do in some cases i win entire game then the card like might of nature comes and its over

Well it's a difficulty you'll have to overcome through farming (or paying). There is no avoiding that as it's a CCG. DId you use the free codes ? At the end of the month, it'll be PGW and the end of the Road to Paris tournament and I'll try to fetch codes for all of us. 
But I'll be honest, passing the 1k ELO is pretty pointless and should be avoided unless you have competitive decks for the simple reason that you'll lose a lot until you have enough cards to build something decent that isn't random garant. Perhaps we should consider putting that as an advice in the OP.

Lose/surrender 10 games in a row, ull be dropped below 1k elo, keep doing it till ur at like 600, and farm from there, once u get near to 1k again repeat, and once u have a decent deck with the core cards in, go back to 1k to grind and learn the matchups.
As for adar, adar suffers allot vs otk decks, on the good side they arent played that much in the current weird meta.

Getting crushed in my first Swiss tournament! But hey, at least there is a chance to get that Emilio pack!
Haven't figured out what I want to focus on building yet though. I currently run a Sandals since that's the best I could build with the cards that I have. The slight Irony was that I started out as haven; got some nice necropolis cards in my first box and therefore switched. After my second HV box and gold spent on reinforcement packs all of a sudden I was back to Haven... Hm .
Now I'm thinking about saving up for a box from the latest expansion, the amount of wild cards sounds like it should be worth it..? Plus academy seems cool. And I'll just keep buying normal boosters with the gold.

that's a good plan, i think a lot of people try to buy "optimally" (myself included), but since everyone jumps factions a ton, a ton of cards are needed anyways. so just buy whatever you want, maybe plan out WCs depending on decks

I got 2 week of training in my FW pack so I think I'm going to switch to a Alia deck. It's time to shine as the Haven.

So are Emilio's packs the way to go to get some value out of gold? I've got an Inferno deck but I'm not trying to make it better fast, I'll enjoy changing factions in the future and I'd like some chance at opening good stuff for them.
