3 Swiss tournament wins in a row feels fucking good. I'm still not getting the Haven cards that I need from these boosters but these new Sanctuary cards look fun.

Playing a Sand deck I made that pushes to 6 magic. I'm missing a lot of cards in the game so I just threw it together.

I'll be able to craft some Wolf Captains soon though!

ah okay, i'm not sure how effective blind arbiters are, i almost never drop more than 4 spells anyways with either rush or control deck

So today in the morning while hovering in the 1200's, i played against a dude who at that time, was 1220, im using a new deck because i got tired of xorm, was doing good but he proceeded to dismantle me by turn 5, qq, whatever. Next game, i q up, get him again, and he steamrolls me again, i talk a bit with him, he just ends up telling me he hopes noone notices the deck for a while, he felt it was pretty strong.

Anyways, i had to go, i come back some time later, after watching bb and start playing games, got a decent streak, hovering at 1250, then i get matched up with him again, he was 1504, so i guess he was right l0l. Champ was Takana, he runs a combination of outmanuever/ambush/honor, it is insanely hard to deal with since cratures have allot of hp and with outmanuever and honor, the pressure he created was insane, so watch out for those decks xd, or try and make one and be like him and get to 1500 in a day l0l.

was it the fortune one? or all creature one, takana rush has been around, but not sure if the new set adds more

That new 4 cost sanctuary fortune that was tailor made for takana looked pretty strong but Idk if that card puts it over the top or not.

He used fortunes, im pretty sure he played frozen maze the only time i came close to gaining board control, but im not sure if he had anything else, i was playing academy akane, and i couldnt really do anything ;(.

Just lost to the most ridiculous Ammar deck, he played defensive till he got enough for his ability (draw a card whenever you play a spell), used chain casting (for every spell you cast this turn the cost of your spells is reduced by 1) and then just played infinite 0 mana spells, enchanted the shit out of everything and killed me -_-.

I'm actually having a ton of trouble vs dhamiria creature decks with sandalphon. I feel screwed if I don't draw monsoon at the start before the insect swarm/earthquake/forbidden flame board clear and some of them even have halls of amnesia so it gets even worse.

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, trying my best not to overextend but if I hold back on the creatures it feels like I can't kill him fast enough, once might of nature and hellfire maniacs are out it feels over.

Dhamaria + The Might of Nature is so dumb to deal with when you have nothing that removes ongoing. I've added a lot of straight removal to my Sand deck to get the finish on them. Homebound Winds + Father Sky's Wrath as an expensive Town Portal.

Their ability to play a card that costs 1 mana that trades 1/1 and lets them look at your whole hand is annoying.

I also wanted to ask how effective are Wolf Captain's against fire/water? I've been trying to avoid cards that are not universally good against all decks and the more I think about Wolf Captain the more I feel like he is an encumbrance against positional play. You can't deny how efficient he is at 2 mana but one Geyser and you could fall way behind. Fireball isn't the worst since it is predictable but I'm not sure.

In a pure rush deck he seems like a given but if you're trying to push a bit later? Is he still just a solid creature to add?

I just ran into this. The guy I played pretty much resorted to chain stone shields to win. I really can't stand how some heroes just can't remove ongoing spells. I'll probably only run Sand until I can make a competitive deck that runs primal or light.

I've been wanting to play Sanctuary for awhile and I do have a Kaiko in my collection. Light/water/air sounds like it would fit my play style too.

dhamiria is hard counter to sandal

the US finals was played between those 2, smurfburn playing dhamiria won 3-1 (cryxious played sandal and won first game when he got 2 monsoons out)

the hidden tech from the new set for sandal is "cosmic singularity", it helps against amnesia

i heard morgan > sandal, haven't seen a deck yet tho

Yeah, just started trying some dhamiria myself and sandal seems really easy. Adar on the other hand is a pain (might be because I just copy pasted the deck and forgot to add rise of the nethermancer)

Just got booty ravaged by an amazing Sanctuary deck using a bunch of the new cards. Looks like so much fun. Really debating buying seals for this game. haha

yeah the player growth has been tremendous just this week

i remember JP would be around 13 mil at this time, now it's 18 mil, easily gonna hit 20+

These new Academy decks are all cheesy as fuck. Watch as I play 7 equipment cards, 2 clashing tides + whatever else because I draw a card each time I do so and they all cost 0 mana. All of this within 5-6 turns from starting.

That or you get milled in 10 turns.

At least there is another way to counter ongoing spells:

Damn, I'm bitter. Jackpot seems to have better players than Swiss. I've been bouncing between 100-200 for ages.
