No gameplay videos. Entirely new IP, history and lore with no public QC. I was a part of that first $1,000,000 and proud!

Oh well I at least I'll get a game out of it, Obsidian has made mostly good games. They're working on it. "Haha, suggested Obsidian stretch goals: '1.5 Million: We'll write in romances.' '2 million: We won't let Chris Avellone write the romances'" I do agree it would be nice to change the title of the thread to something like "Project Eternity - The next Baldur's Gate" to catch more attention.

I'm hoping for a few million, though. Trending really doesn't mean anything. I think it just takes how much money has come in on that day, and multiplies it by the days left or something like that. I get a little concerned when they talk about how they are happy it can be a mature game though. I think think its nice and all when a game doesn't shy away from blood and things, but a lot of games these days have decided to go the whole "dark gritty" route where every other character is a drug addict or something like that. That trend is really getting old to me. I hope when they talk about it getting a mature rating, they just mean it will have some realistic levels of violence. I think Skyrim hit this just right, there is blood and whatnot, and there is even drug use and other things, but they don't shove it in your face in an attempt to be "edgy", it just fits in as part of the world.

I don't think they mean the "in your face blood, gore and sex" stuff when they say mature themes. It's not Obsidian's style and it would be quite difficult to do on an Infinity-type engine.

The thing is, most games advertising mature themes, in reality, just end up showing boobs and explicit gore left and right. I believe by "mature" they mean Planescape-like maturity, as in treating the player like an intelligent person and the story tackling some sort of philosophical question(s).
